I could picture Harrison Ford doing it too. They don't describe Robert Langdon at all as anyone like Tom Hanks. He just doesn't suite the role, no matter how good of an actor he is. Its like casting anyone white guy to play the role of a black guy in a movie.

I hope they don't butcher the book too much though. After reading it though, I figured it would transfer well to film. We'll have to wait and see.

I heard that Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind, and TV's Arrested Development) is going to be directing this.

 

I have yet to read the book, I'll probably wait until the movie.
