Jerry Orbach, acclaimed as a quintessential New York actor for his work on Broadway, in films and as the star of television's "Law & Order," has died from cancer. He was 69.

It really sucked to find this out first thing in the morning. I woke up and turned on the TV, only to hear that he died. ;)

 

Oh well. Somehow, I feel this is fitting.

I'm really sad to see him go, especially since I love "Law and Order" and am from New York. R.I.P.

 

Here's a little-known tid-bit about him- he did the voice of Lumiere in 'Beauty and the Beast'.
