anyone else buy this cd? i did only cuz of the hype behind the guy. that and the fact that it was only $12.99. i might not listen to it repeatedly, but at least i'll know whats on it.

No, I'm not going to buy it. Occasionally, he puts out a song that I kinda-like, but it never makes me want to spend money on the album.

And I don't really like rap at all.

But I was impressed by it.

Now, I don't think he's controversial anymore, because people expect it of him. I don't like the single that's on the radio now, and I don't think I'll like any other singles to come out. The singles follow a pattern of sorts. First, the goofy dance single, then the confessional single about how messed up his life is, then a D12 song to round it up before the whole thing starts again.

i loved Eminem until Friday. Encore has redeeming qualities, but it's nowhere near the Eminem Show

the album is weak. it's been done. the lyrics are weak, the hype is weak, the offensive content is weak. eminem died after 3 very solid albums

havent' heard anything but the single mosh, very controversial, good stuff to have a song against Bush and the war (guess it is just marketing...)... the song is ok, dont know the rest of the album

But I do respect Eminem for different reasons. He's definitely up there.
