Does any body love this band as much as I do?

 

I just got back from seeing them for the second time at Massey Hall, and it was fantastic.

 

Jeff Tweedy is brilliant.

 

If you've never heard Wilco, go check them out, right now.

'Yankee Hotel Foxtrot' was one of the best albums of 2002. It's the only one I've heard, though. I'm a huge procrastinater.

It took me a long time to warm to them-but I knew that it was really good so I forced myself to keep listening and now I love them.

They are good, but they certainly arent the best american band out there right now

I think I do like the Shins better than I like Wilco. but both are great.

Interpol is the only other band thats got anything on Wilco

Alien Ant Farm is great. It was the worst idea ever to make smooth criminal a single, as every song on that CD was 10 times better than it. They came out with another CD in 2003 and are working on a new one right now. Also System of A Down (whom is maing a new CD as well) are one of the top bands out there

the nu metal wankery of Alien Ant Farm, and System Of a Down, or the amazing sonic landscapes, and perfect pop of Wilco.

 

I think i would have to go with Wilco.

 

The Rapture would also be one of the only other Amerian bands to any type of competition for Wilco.

Yes, they are a great band! I love their new album! My personal fav. song tho, is 'How to Fight Loneliness' from a soundtrack (I forget which movie).

Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is a really good album. I also have recently purchased 'A Ghost is Born'. I havn't really listened to it much though, I will have to start.

 

Best america band...well they're one of.

 

System of a Down's Toxicity was a good album.

Summerteeth is deffinitly worth picking up.

The few tracks that i've heard off 'Summerteeth' sound a lot more country. Does that album carry more of a country vibe than 'Yankee' and 'Ghost'?

No, I wouldn't say country per say.

More just general pop rock.
