As an Aussie Idol fan, i wondered over to the Canadian Idol website and took a look at some of the finalists as I killed more time.

 

I was surprised to see that one Idol finalist, was labelled as most sounding like Matt Good.

 

Take a look at Jacob dude.

 

for you that have seen it does he sound like matt?

I dont watch it, but I really doubt that someone from American idol Jr., I mean Canadian Idol could sound like matthew good. Anyone with a voice like Matt's would be to unique and enjoyable. They want people who you cant tell them apart if you close your eyes and simply listen.

Maybe it's the same style. I don't know.

 

His band is called Hedley.

 

I'm thinking he tried out for Canadian Idol for the exposure. Anything to whore the band out, I guess.

He doesn't sound like Matthew Good.

 

However, I think you're mistaken, the guy is unique and doesn't fall into the "cookie cutter artist" catergory.

 

I agree with you 100% on the rest though.
