Accoustic EP?

I was doing a search for MG info and I found an old news posting made by Matt himself saying he hoped to put out an accoustic EP. It was posted late last year.

 

Has anyone heard of this, or heard any more news on it?

There was supposed to be an EP with the extra tracks from Avalanche (NF radio edit, Weapon Soundtrack and one other one I can't remember) that was going to be only for HOSAM members, but it was scrapped.

ya. the idea went to the same place "the metro" website went to (i think that was what the special website was called). oh well. maybe a few accoustic songs will come out on a new single as filler. we can dream

speaking of loser anthems. why the hell isnt it just re-released? maybe about 20,000 new copies or something if they dont want to go crazy. make a duble disc et including lo-fi b-sides. im certainly ready for it

I think my dream is a Matt Good DVD/CD combo.

 

All the videos, bunch of live and acoustic stuff on the DVD.

 

And then a compilation of rare material for the CD.

While I'm definately not holding my breath for the accoustic EP, I still think it is in the realm of possibility if Matt is still interested in it.

 

It took Matt, what over a year to release Loser Anthems? Or maybe it just seemed that long. Actually it seemed longer. ;) I remember the mp3 for Flashdance II had been taken off of the site by the time I heard about it, so I downloaded it off of Napster(!) and it still seemed like I had it on my computer for forever before the EP was released.

 

Well, we can always hope at least. :angry:

I think an acoustic EP is very probable sometime in the future. It makes sense, what with his new musical direction and all.
