Born To Kill

hey everybody i was just listening to the two versions of Born To Kill, and i decided that i like the lo-fi version better, it sounds really raw and primal, but then again the BM version has excellent orchestration and the end of the song is just super... so my official answer is that i love them both haha! what do you think?

I like both versions, but i prefer the BM one, louder, more clear... typical song with so much strength so as to finish a concert!

One of my all time favorites, sadly, I haven't heard the lo-fi version.

It's not too different. In the Lo-fi version, there's no orchestra and it doesn't cut off at the end.

The Lo-Fi version is a bit more haunting, I enjoy it more for that.

BM version is better IMO, but thats because ive never heard the Lo-fi version, lol. Oh well. as long as i have my precious Beautiful Midnight here im fine

yeah the lo-fi one is just like it says.... lo-fi... its more hard edged than BM...

Matt Good's comment about getting Beautiful Midnight instead of Lo-Fi B-Sides to be able to hear "Born To Kill" made me think there was only one version.

if you can get a hold of the munich concert version listen to it. it's pretty sweet. that whole concert was amazing.

i enjoy them both immensely, but i had to go lo-fi. personally, it's so much more accessible. a much shorter distance between 'man and his music' (both in terms of the artists and its performance and in the listener's experience of it) than the BM version.
