I'll probably end up buying this album in CD and vinyl formats, so far it seems worth it... and I know I'll listen to it enough to destroy the vinyl version very quickly.

This sounds promising.

 

I found that after Avalanche, everything released afterwards felt so 'empty'. (Not saying they were bad by any means, I base it on how I still listen to Avalanche on a regular basis compared to the others.) I hate to use the word 'epic' but thats how I would describe Avalanche, and I get the same vibe from this song. I'm hoping the rest of the album follows along the same path.

All the other albums following Avalanche have their moments, but none seem as challenging as Avalanche. I think it has to do with my mindset going into Avalanche for the first time. It felt like a whole new beginning, after losing the Matthew Good Band, and just knowing there was so much emotion still waiting to be captured.

Oh God, I want this album now! I think I remember him saying his record label won't let him release it until the fall. I hope he starts previewing album art and that kind of stuff again in the months/weeks before release.
