Wow, I must say for a Canadian show, this is very entertaining and lots of action!!!

 

"Flashpoint is about the dramatic portrayal of an elite tactical unit, called the Strategic Response Unit (SRU), within a Canadian metropolitan police force (styled on the Toronto Police Emergency Task Force, Toronto being where the series is filmed). The SRU are tasked to resolve extreme situations that regular officers cannot handle including hostage-taking, bomb threats and heavily armed criminals. Even though they're backed with high-tech equipment with an arsenal of explosives, tasers, submachine guns, assault and sniper rifles, the SRU operators use intuition and judgement to resolve the situation."

 

CBS picked up this show so you know it is a good Canadian show!!! :-)

this statement is everything that's wrong with canadian television viewers.

 

i havent seen the show, but it does not need to be validated by an american television for it to be good.

There are only two cops shows that I like enough to say are good shows, Life is one and Flashpoint is the other.

The show is alright, I just think it is silly to not actually reveal that the show is in Toronto instead of making the location "any town" Canada or US.

i like it, but all the episodes seem really similar.

I did not realize that the actor from this was the lead singer of famous Canadian Rock band "The Headstones" crazy stuff.
