what do you think of his music... favourite song? album?

 

i've been listening to Twilight for about a week straight, love that tune.

XO is a fantastic album, and the only other one I've heard is "Elliot Smith" which I really wasn't that into.

 

Are there any albums I should check out that are more similar to XO?

 

Waltz X2 is my favourite song by far. I also like Bottle Up and Explode.

either/or is my first and only smith album. it's a lot less polished than XO, so if you don't really like lo-fi elliot, then you should certainly give this album a pass.

I thought it was a law that everyone had to own a copy of Figure 8. "Wouldn't Mama Be Proud" blew me away and I immediately had to have everything the man ever recorded.

I find him to be "alright" but I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to him. I like Christopher O'Riley's piano interpretations more than the originals, actually...
