Hi all,

I got 5 free downloads from the iTunes music store. My musical horizons are kinda limited, and I'm stumped at how to use them. So I would love if everybody could throw out their 5 picks for songs I should get.

Cheers!

Franz Ferdinand - Outsiders

Coheed & Cambria - Welcome Home / Rage Against the Machine - Killing in the Name

Fort Minor - Remember the Name / Immortal Technique - The Poverty of Philosophy

Radiohead - Idioteque / Pendulum - Sounds of Life

Massive Attack - Group Four

A sample of a bit of everything. Similar things are grouped together in terms of genre/musical style.

I dunno if all of these will even be there, but check em out:

God is an Astronaut - Suicide by Star

Bell X1 - My First Born for a Song

Feist - The Limit to Your Love

Pavement - Newark Wilder

Sondre Lerche - No One's Gonna Come

Almost all of those songs are universally unjoyable, unless you don't like instrumental bands (God is an Astronaut) or Feist's singing style. The Sondre Lerche track is beyond fabulous.

Props.

haha thanks.

And if anyone is curious, I've loved these guys for a very long time.

Not just since Matt discovered them ;)

It's not music to just sit down and listen to. However I myself am able to do this as I play in a post-rock band so I really enjoy it.

But for the average person it's more of just mood music to have going when your driving, browsing the internet, eating. It sets the mood for anything. Happy or sad.

Red Sparowes is too hard. It's more metal then anything.

At least for me.
