Yeah, I was just reminded of it when I heard him. And doesn't MG like Bob Dylan? I remember watching something about Dylan in the IAWCC making-of.

As said above, if it was a reference to anyone, it would be a reference to Dylan not Hendrix, considering it was originally a Dylan song and Hendrix just covered it.

Matt loves Dylan, and has listed him as an influence. His mention of him when he sang a song of his in the Making of IAWCC was that the folks should have known who wrote the song.
