pretty lax day, winners were ottawa and calgary imo

Calgary totally made out, Ottawa as well...everyone else was pretty blah, I didn't expect much though... A lot of the key trades had already been made.

I'm sad to see Lombardi leaving Calgary- I know he hasn't been the player that the Flames have wanted him to be, but I still enjoyed watching him play, but picking up Jokinen really shows that the organization wants to a)break into "elite" status in the NHL and more imporantly b)bring a Cup to Calgary.

It would be nice to see the Flames be more competitive...but I'm wondering if they need a few more pieces to get there.
