James Bond Quantum Of Solace = Badass!

The trailer is badass, Daniel Craig is Badass, and when I think this level of Badass, I think Steve McQueen, who Craig resembles a great deal in a number of ways.

Discuss the Badassery after watching the trailer, which is also maximum badass!!!

I dunno, man. Another movie where he's being pursued by M-I6? What's the count on that, two movies? Three?

Still...he's badass. Let's give it a shot. Supposedly the movie picks up an hour after the end of Casino Royale...so the whole MI6 thing is still not completely resolved.

The James Bond series has actually become respectable again. Did you even see the crap that was Die Another Day? There was an ice castle, an ice castle for christ's sake. And....'Who sent you?'....'Your momma.'

Yeah.

Well let's face it, Dalton and Craig, and the actor from Her Majesty's Secret Service, are the closest to Fleming's vision of Bond of all the actors to play him. Connery is still my favorite though. The writing for Casino, was the closest to Fleming of all of the films. That's a good sign for the Franchise. Less gadgets, and those that do appear are more realistic. The jokes are limited, and more natural. Even the opening sequences are more in line with Fleming's vision.

Lasanby (sp) was the guy from "secret service". Dalton's "living daylights" and "licence to kill" are generally the ones that no one remembers, and probably for good reason (I personally didnt really like the guy). I had a convo with a buddy earlier about bond movies and we concurred that "casino" was good because it showed bond as a human being, much like "secret service"....and not a robot like many of the other films. And yes, the ice palace/ lasers from diamonds likely made flemming roll in the grave.

I actually thought Dalton was a pretty good Bond. He was under appreciated and his character was a bit more vicious compared to that pansy Roger Moore.

Exactly Anton. Fleming wrote Bond as a "Hard Man". Dalton and Craig have the emotional component of Fleming's vision perfectly. So did Lazenby, who really did an exceptional job.

Holy shit, Watched this yesterday! The film was quite different compared to Casino Royale but the story was pretty fucking awesome.

SPOILER (Highlight to View)
The best part was leaving Greene out in the desert with a can of oil.
