I just don't understand the point of it...who wants to hear songs in an unnatural state? Obviously the artist wrote it the way they did for a reason...it's just fucking silly.

Semisonic - Closing Time was a favorite of mine too.

 

I don't have much that's a favorite from the nineties that I actually listened to in the nineties as my Mom always listened to the 80's stations...

That's one of my favorites too Beth. I saw them play in Providence, at Waterplace Park, right after it was finished, it was awesome. We were there for their soundcheck, what a bunch of really nice guys.

Actually after I posted in this thread, I bought Pet Your Friends for $1.99 used... Counting Blue Cars is probably the only good song on the album in my opinion. Unfortunately. But hey, at least it was only two bucks wasted.

I bought that CD used for 2 bucks last year...

 

Then I realized "OHHH! That's the awesome song I kept hearing on the radio..."
