Less Funny Comedy

both these movies were reviewed as comedies, but I cannot think of another film that I laughed less at and ended up feeling sorry for everyone afterwards.

how about the corpse in the back and getting pulled over by the cop? and the cops reaction to the gay porn.

 

(I really have to watch this movie again to point out a lot of the other funny parts)

I had the same thoughts about the movie "Lost in Translation"... which is, according to IMDB anyhow, at least partly intended to be a comedy. Except, if I recall correctly, it was closer to 3 hours than 2... it was incredibly pointless, and NOTHING really funny happened throughout.

Bill Murray was running really fast on the treadmill in that one scene.

I guess that makes it a comedy. overrated.

I LOVE Little Miss Sunshine. I almost couldn't stop laughing. But, in truth, I don't like most "comedies" I like their indie counterparts, like LMS. I liked Sideways, and Lost in Translation, too.

I refuse to be ashamed for thinking that Little Miss Sunshine is funny and SuperBad isn't. And if that makes me a hipster in the book of Shade (who liked the Au Revoir Simone album) then so be it!

I thought all of the dead grandpa jokes were pretty rude and not funny at all. I have an immature sense of humour but that just seemed like a little too much, also made the plot quite unbelievable.
