champions of nothing is one amazing song. i love what he did with the boy come home. the entire album is amazing. the weakest songs are the covers, imho...

The guitar solo in Champions fucking rips. Also, when that "Hallelujah" line hits out of nowhere. That's a wow moment.

Ya I just love it. I didn't really know what to expect, but I love it. Though I knew I wouldn't hate it. It's awesome in my opinion.

I just got chills down my spine during in Champions, I wondered how a 9min track would open an album, well it opens the album really damn well, in fact it is better than Man of Action to open an album.

As for the album....the acoustic shows need to gtfo...A full band performance would be 10000x better for this new material.

I'd love to see this album performed full band, without a doubt, but I'm also really excited to see the songs performed how they were written, which, as far as I understand, was basically all acoustically.

 

I'd be happy to hear Odette in any way possible.

He's done bits of that on most of his albums though, along with doing things like setting up microphones to capture random noises. Personally, especially in the context of this album and what we know he went through before writing it, I think it fits and adds lots to songs.

Album is good, but nothing on it really blows me away or anything. I feel kinda meh after listening to the whole thing.
