  1. I mumble and toss and turn a lot. A few times I've woken up on the floor, or with my feet on my pillow and my head at the foot of the bed.
  2. *slow clap* Hit the nail on the motherfucking head. To boil it down: art (be it paintings, digitially altered photography, digital objects, etc.) imitates life to a high degree. In "real" life I find women attractive. You can look at a painting (or a digital object, or whatever) and imagine it's real-life analogue incredibly easily. Hence attraction. I could say "she's hot" or I could say "she would be if she was real." What's the difference, really? Especially since the line is only becoming more blurred as technology becomes better. If I showed you a picture of a guy, and you said he was hot, would you immediately have to change your mind if I told you he was made of polygons? The technology is getting so good that within a few years you will literally not be able to tell the difference.
  3. A lot of my friends have been telling me to check out Blue Rodeo. I've taken their advice, and am currently listening to "What Is This Love" and loving it.
  4. It's a recreation of reality. Are you saying that if I painted a portrait of you, it'd be weird for someone to find it attractive? Edit: Also, you're a photographer. I'm sure you know that pictures are very rarely accurate representations of reality, and yet I'm pretty positive that you've looked at a picture of someone (Matty, Tom Gabel...) and been like "wow! they're so hot!"
  5. Yeah, but pretty much every picture you see in a magazine is digitally altered as well, so is that not "real" either? Tracy: yeah, I never saw the whole appeal of Aeris. Garnet was cute, Yuna, Rikku...
  6. Something Corporate - Konstantine Counting Crows - Perfect Blue Buildings The Eagles - Desperado Don Henley - Annabel Lexicon Artist - A Dog Named Happy Matthew Good - All Together Matthew Good - The Fine Art of Falling Apart Matthew Good - Sort of a Protest Song Matthew Good - Running for Home Probably more that I've forgotten.
  7. Tracy: that FF7 one is fucking badass. I assume you've seen AC, as Tifa is pretty hot in it. My only complaint is that I always pronounced it Tiff-uh, not Tee-fuh.
  8. The Vertical guide would take care of the vertical plane for you, so all you had to do was line your shot up horizontally. Usually all you had to do was shoot it way too high in someoneone's direction, and it would stop over their heads and come crashing down. The H Guide wasn't as good, because if someone was below you, it was hard to hit them.
  9. Meg: That was a really sweet story. I've also had nopthing but positive experiances giving to homeless people. I used to be extremely existentialist about things like homelessness and obesity ("get a job!" "stop eating!") but the reality of these situations (in a lot of cases) is that it isn't as simple as waking up one morning and just getting a job. Mental illness is rampant among the homeless due to the revolving door system that exists in the psychological treatment programs of many major cities. Also, the argument that "lots of panhandlers are fakers!" holds no water. Should we stop sending police and counselors to people who phone 9-1-1 or suicide hotlines just because some of them are only doing it for attention? Edit: Shit. I only read page 1, so if any of this has already been addressed, my bad.
  10. Really? I think it's already pretty much acoustic, and would have been among the more boring tracks were it on rooms, since it'd be so similar (like Strange Days.)
  11. Really? I always thought that Vick's (Vertical) Guide was better. What was the H one called again? Herb's Guide?
  12. I thought we'd have meals in pill form by now. On another note.... TANK WARS WAS FUCKING AMAZING!! Did you guys know that trick where if your power was (800 + 2 for every health you were missing) your shot would just keep going through anything until it hit someone? Oh man. And then there were those megaton bombs, and the laser....
  13. AoB > LotGA > BM > Underdogs
  14. There was even a Shaq Fu video game, where you played martial artist Shaq and beat up weird monsters and shit. Edit:
  15. A peach. I'm psyched; I gained about 3 pounds of solid muscle on my canoe trip, despite the ridiculous amount of drinking we did.
  16. 4th in the second row?
  17. Born Losers is probably in my top 5.
  18. Someone else is already on it, but I'll just say that in my opinion it is the best Matt Good "album." Hopefully that'll whet your appetite.
  19. Though I'm not a proponent of eating until "stuffed," I'm still proud of you. Maybe one day we'll work out some nice macronutrient ratios.
  20. !!!!!!! Now THAT'S blasphemy. Crucifixion, anyone?
  21. Some of it is, but some is just god awful. The Moneymaker? Wow. Pure trash.
  22. I'm Canadian and I hate hockey, and have never been skiing. Beer rocks, though ironically I dislike Canadian.
  23. And what have I been telling you all of this time? ;)
  24. I'm listening to the new Rilo Kiley CD. It's...different.
