It's a bit broader than Napoleon Dynamite, and it's budget is about 10 times bigger (even without including the advertising campaign). But, that said, this is a movie for fans of the book. It really isn't for a general audience.

I was thinking that it was kinda like the manifestos or maybe stuff from a book he's working on...? (note: I have no reference on the latter comment, but I seem to remember him saying a bit ago that he was working on a new book...but don't quote me)

I've only got the first disk so far from Netflix, but I loved it. It's kind of MASH-y in that it's a comedy, but they do allow for plots that are more serious... I can't wait to see more of it...
