a post on his site that was lost soon after when he was revamping right before his decision to pack it in went something like this...i am sick of new things (music, etc...) and maybe i'll find a place in europe that is old enough not to have anything new and settle there. as for a job, dunno what to do, big band?, spoken word?, or get a job. he is not sure what the future holds for him, but i wish him well and thank him for his music, his views, and for speaking out for those that can't!

i met him in Kamloops this year, my wife and i ate dinner at the keg right beside him and his wife and some of the guys. after we were walking to the show and outside the bus there he was, so i asked him for an autograph, not having any paper, so he ran into the bus, got some paper and gave me an auto. we chatted, shook hands, i told him he was the reason i bought a guitar for my 34th b-day. he said he didn't start till he was 20, so ya never know. it was very memorable.

well, yes some of us will continue on in the fight for human rights and freedoms. Matt, enjoy eurpoe, if you find a habitable spot, old enough to feel comfortable in, make it your home. drop us a line now and then. otherwise, hell, move to the okanagan, i have 2 labour intensive job offers for you, or if ya just wanna vacation here, i can do that too. take a break from all things negative, all that ails you, including fans. glad i met you, shook your hand...all that. peace, get well, all my families best to yours.
