  6. penismightier Posted on Nov 30 2004, 06:05 PM you obviously haven't listened to any Wilco. Considering its alt-country as the lyrics aren't always very straight forward. And Hopeless is not alt country. being there is one of my favorite albums of all time, and a ghost is born hasn't left my cd player for month's (that cd has great replayability) i love wilico...hardcore. and thats exactly my point hopeless isn't quite alt country
  7. im not enjoying this country slamming at all, i might be way off base but, all though matt does love country i can't see him doing a country album because he wouldn't be able to use political based lyrics as much. but my defintion of country is more lyrically, and that defintion is face value lyrics that you can't read intot as much, at least that's stereo typical country any way. wilco...ect excluded. p.s country rock's my socks, about 50% of it anyway. pps hopeless rocks my socks.
  8. genres give you some backgroung information and an idea what to expect, plus it makes stuff like music history easier (ie. there was grunge, then there was post grunge) im fine with genres, there just words.
  9. i think the fact the shirt said head instead of brain might have something to do with it
  10. im having trouble putting together a top five list of canadian bands, any sugestions? base your choices on originality, influence(worldwide) and just all round awesomeness.
  11. iv been listening to a gohst is born by wilco, and music at work by tth, ps a comercial for scorsesse(spelt that wrong) on scorsesse has "at least thats what you said" by wilco on it
  12. the best serious drug movie is "wonderland", as for funny ones "dazed and confused", and i seem to be the only person in the world who likes this movie but "harold and kumar go to whitecastle" was great.
  13. i think it is kinda funny how metallica'a first album sounds alot like punk today. not soo much lyrically but just the feel of it. im still not a big fan of them but i think they were very influential.
  14. i found my brown "content head heart lungs" t-shirt lost a lot of color in the wash, still looks awesome though, and also if anyone could give me some insight to what content head heart lungs means it would be greatly appreciated
