  1. I agree, they keyboard live is so good. Hopefully he brings it back this tour. And I understood what you meant. lol
  2. It's also available on Spotify! Listening now.
  3. Cool! I'll let my friends in Toronto know.
  4. I saw that tweet and thought the same thing!
  5. It's interesting watching them play Apparitions in this video because MG uses an electric guitar. I remember seeing him at Edge Fest 2001 where he played it with an electric... it's been acoustic ever since as far as I can remember. As for Underdogs, what an amazing album. Prime Time Deliverance is still one of my favorite songs. Can't believe it's been 20 years already.
  6. Nice. What do you think about the "suit made out of old lighters/letters" line?
  7. Firstly, thanks for the background info! Secondly, this infographic is pretty shocking. I always knew the artists were getting next to nothing but I didn't realize it was this little. I remember years ago MG talking about an advance. I think he owed the label a pile of money when MGB broke up. Crazy. I totally agree. That seems like a horrible direction to take art.
  8. This is a great thread. I literally didn't know anything mentioned above. Please continue and tell us more about the recording process. I've often wondered how/why artists become indebted to record labels. Can someone explain this?
  9. This is an interesting list. It would be great if MG told us what Best of Last means.
  10. I hear old lighters as well.
  11. Hahah nice. That didn't take long.
  12. I agree. The 2016 version is so good. I can't go 2 days without listening to it.
  13. Awesome!! I'm really looking forward to it this year.
  14. Good to know about Spotify. I agree about Days Come Down... it is my favorite of the new songs. I've got it on repeat right now!
  15. Interesting. Hopefully I will know what you mean soon.
  16. Thanks!
  17. I also use spotify and didn't notice. There is already some discussion going on about the "fade out". I'll listen again and see if I notice anything.
  18. Can anyone confirm that the album will be released on Spotify on the same day? I am thinking about pre-ordering but since I have spotify I imagine it will be available immediately when released.
  19. Just listened to Days Come Down and the fade out is kind of weird. I don't get it. Maybe it has something to do with the next song on the album. We'll have to wait and see.
  20. This is super cool stuff. When the Audio of Being came out I went down to A&B Sound in Vancouver where the band was doing a signing. I got MG to record my cell phone voicemail greeting. He said something like, "Leave a message for Pat, if this is Pat's Mom? Leave a Fucking Message Pat's Mom." My mom was unimpressed.
  21. I love the cover!! Strangely similar to Limblifter.
  22. Cool write up / announcement about the album on MG's instagram. Official release is Oct 20. Pre-order recieves an instant download of "Bad Guys Win", "Days Come Down", and "Decades". The album is called Something like a Storm.
  23. I remember this song. It's really great. Thanks for posting.
  24. I've listened to this concert hundreds of times. I had no idea there video as well!!! Thanks for recording. The quality is so high. I am working to get into the lounge. hahaha I've been coming to this website for at least 10 years but just don't post often.
  25. Hi Everyone, After seeing the Kelowna setlist I was pissed that I missed the show. I dug up my old ipod and found a bunch of old sets that were recorded really well. I don't know who recorded this and I can't remember where I downloaded it from... this was over 10 years ago. Anyways, this set is my favorite by far... look at that setlist! I transferred it from my ipod to my laptop and uploaded it to Google Drive to share with you NFers. Feel free to download and listen. The audio quality is 10/10. If you recorded it, thank you. If anyone has a similar link for the recent Kelowna set I will be forever grateful.
