I never thought of that scenario. If anyone can bankrupt the US it's gotta be Bush. If the States did go bankrupt, it would be a mess.
-
Sure Bush won't be in again but that means that he doesn't have to please anyone now. He can go psycho. Right now 10,000 US soldiers are bearing down on Fallujah. They're going to flatten it. I was at Matthew Good's blog, there's some tasty treats of what Bush might do now. Flattening Fallujah is just one. Fuck.

Any Canadians Want A Mail-order American Husband?
Tati replied to Agent_99's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
I think you Americans should stay where you are. Better to overthrow your government from there. -
What would John Lennon say about this? "Give peace a chance." "Peace is the only answer." What would Einstein say? "One cannot prepare for peace while preparing for war." “It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder.” I'm with them, man.

People kept saying to watch for something that benefits Bush to show up just before the election. Sure enough Bin Laden appears. Boo!..you yankees. Most people say that they voted Bush because they felt he could protect them the most. This is the guy that is scaring you deliberately folks!! Anyway it worked. And what a simple easy thing, just get save the tape until just before the election and then drop it off.
-
Yeah, you're probably right. Everytime I turn on the news I get a different story, coma, no coma, he's fine, he's HIV positive. Who knows, who knows...

Great link, Anton! Nice faces.

Yep, Carey should have held on. And Americans should lobby to return to the paper ballot for next time.

The tape Of Bin Laden showed up by being dropped of at the Al Jazeera offices in Pakistan by some 'unknown person'. We don't know how much influence it had on the election but we know that it helped the Republicans a hell of a lot more than it hurt. Searching the web I found this, Larry King interviewing Walter Cronkite. Walter Cronkite thinks Karl Rove put Osama up to it Actual transcript from Larry King Live. KING: OK, Walter. What do you make of this? CRONKITE: Well, I make it out to be initially the reaction that it's a threat to us, that unless we make peace with him, in a sense, we can expect further attacks. He did not say that precisely, but it sounds like that when he says... KING: The warning. CRONKITE: What we just heard. So now the question is basically right now, how will this affect the election? And I have a feeling that it could tilt the election a bit. In fact, I'm a little inclined to think that Karl Rove, the political manager at the White House, who is a very clever man, he probably set up bin Laden to this thing. The advantage to the Republican side is to get rid of, as a principal subject of the campaigns right now, get rid of the whole problem of the al Qaqaa explosive dump. Right now, that, the last couple of days, has, I think, upset the Republican campaign.

Was that you?! You are a devil!

It's funny what people get worked up about. In the 70's hippies were wearing US flags as clothes and on their pants and so many people freaked because they felt the flag was being disgraced. 'Oh heavens, he has a flag on his butt!!' Now even Republicans wear them. It's a crazy world, folks.

We're not much better here in Canada. We wrestled them into counting our 'carbon sink' the forests so that we can produce more gasses. The Kyoto Protocal is a great step in the right direction but they had to make so many concessions that in my mind it's a bit of a joke. I am still proud that we joined but we can't let the gov get lazy on this.

I wonder how many more wrong votes will be found. And votes were lost because the computer had too much data? Man oh ma, why were they in such a rush to go electronic? Makes me think democracy isn't quite as important to them as you'd think.

LOL Jon, I was just looking for another avatar, I almost settled on a make Love Not War one, which has always had a warm place in my heart but you know, I like her too. So she can stay a while. Thanks for the input!

I don't what the picture's about. I wonder if her parents forced her to wear a peace sign on her face. LOL Whatever it is, yes she looks super mad.

None of this fucking missile bs makes any sense to me. It's exactly like Deadalus says. 1. The only country that can target the US with an ICBM realistically is the US itself. 2. They don't even have it working properly yet. 3 (this is just my opinion) Who gives them the right to be the gods of earth? I don't trust them at all. They invaded a country against the wishes of the United Nations. And lied about it blah, blah, blah we all know about that. And did you know that Bush tried all he could to ensure that his soldiers could not be tried for war crimes in world court? That would have given them carte blanche to do what ever the fuck they wanted no matter how horrifying or cruel. Look at Vietnam to see what soldiers are capable of doing. I just shake my head. Thank god anyway because he was denied, so American soldiers can be held responsible if they commit crimes against humanity. I say no to the missile shield. Thay can't have their way in everything. They should grow up.

LOL It's too late for me. Insanity is my friend.
-
OMG! LOL Cheney, you suck. Get out of our air!
-
Lets put all the democrats in Washington, Oregon and California and let it become Canada. That would be so sweet, we'd have a straight run to Mexico with out having to drive through the States.

Yes, Sparq. You're so right. And I'm assuming everyone here knows about ceasefire.ca but if not go there join up and sign the letter, k?

I tried searching the info you have there, Jen, I like check out sources but I find nothing. I bothered to check the minimum wage on the John Kerry site and found this... Raise The Minimum Wage. As president, John Kerry will raise the minimum wage from $5.15 to $7.00 by 2007. An increase in the federal minimum wage is well overdue. It has fallen further and further behind the cost of living, and the... I can find no info saying that he would lower the minimum wage. That's that only thing I bothered checking because it's such a bore. I sure hope you didn't base your decision to keep Bush in on this article alone.

Well, whether the Bloc likes it or not, it's always been the Canadian flag over our soldiers. They better get their own army going if they don't want their soldiers under the maple leaf.
-
I don't like it, I tell you. I don't like it one bit! Polls show only 52% are against it. What the hell is going on? Prime Minister Martin looks like he's into sucking up to the deal. Where have all the hippies gone, man? Oh well, I've got Near Fantastica cranked right up. Time to go bliss out.

I was watching a largest pumpkin competition one boring Sunday years ago. The biggest pumpkin was huge, almost three hundred pounds or something. But it was grown in Canada. The contest was in the States so they virtually ignored the largest one and concentrated on the second largest, a little over 100 lb. Small compared to the great Canadian pumpkin but it was grown in the States so of more worth, I guess. They called the American one a 'World Record for the United States'. I wonder what makes them so self absorbed and competitive? I'm not speaking about all Americans here, I'm just refering to the collective consciousness of the US, if you will.
