lol yeah doesnt the fact that they can hit less than half the missles during the highly scheduled tests give you comfort? Oh and with the chemical lasers dont they have a limited use on them? So they can only be fired a couple times and then need to be replaced? *edit* oh and another flaw in the system, the US is building it to take out conventional missles however Russia (and someone else cant remember who right now) are working on varible velocity ICBMs these are like regular ICBM's cept they dont follow a linear tragectory and thusly are a lot more difficult to intercept.

Yes I saw it tonight and I give it 3.5stars out of 5. It was good but not great, it lacked the more subtle and mature humour that other pixar films had. Although we did get to see a Star Wars Episode 3 trailer so that was cool ;)

Someone told me that the time of year when they told the world that they had captured him (I cant remember when right now) couldn't possibly be when they actually captured him. Supposedly in the background of the video you see trees or bushes (no pun here) in bloom and supposedly they bloom either a lot later or earlier in the year. Just found that kinda intresting

OR even more likely than that is a dirty bomb, put some plutonium or uranium in a smaller bomb that wont cause the material to fisson but it'll still spread lots of nasty radioactive stuff all over the place.

I dont have iTunes but I find with any list like that (I've had a creative nomad, and winamp) that there are always flaws in the random. Shit w/ Winamp on my big play list I have like 12 hours of music but hear the same 10-15 songs over and over it kinda gets annoying cause most of those arent MG. I've had to stop even using shuffle

The problem is too many of us Canucks think that we need the US more than they need us, while I belive in fact its the other way around. After all the BS of the last few years (soft wood lumber, Beef, missle d) I'm strongly in favour of lessing our ties w/ them.

You wanna know why there is so much pressure on us to join? It's because the system wouldn't protect shit w/o being able to place the system north of the 60th parrel and Alaska just doesnt cover enough longtitude. Think about it, where is the most likely place a missle would be launched from? Either a boat off of either the eastren or westren seaboard, and the US Navy is covering that. Or from somewhere in Europe. Okay if it comes from Europe its going to go over the artic cause thats the shortest route. However this presents 2 problems for the US, 1 lack of miltiary forces up there cause yeah thats Canadian territory and secondly lack of satilite coverage. Granted there is some but not enough to ensure detection. So if we dont allow them to put the missle banks there the system falls apart. Its the same reason they put presure on us to scrap the Arrow program in favour of NORAD. Its not whats good for us and them its whats good for them. Frankly if someone nuked us I belive the US would send aid and false platitudes of sympathy but however I belive from a strategic sense they'd actually like it as it would put us in a postion where we would actually need them. A little scary thought but...

Well its kinda true, while I'm very proud to be Canadian I'm finding more and more that I'm just as proud not to be an American. Lol remember the main reason Alberta and Saskatchewan were incorperated as provinces was to keep the Americans from annexing the territory. With the centinal next year I've proposed that our slogan be "100 years of pissing on american ambitions" but somehow I dont think most ppl would view that as being politically correct

Sorry I'm kinda dumb are they putting in place or removing the method to waive the notification of parents/guardins? I happen to be pro choice I feel its better to have an abortion as opposed to raising yet another child in a loveless household. What really scares me is here in Calgary we just had a municipal election, and the new head of the Catholic School board has said that if anyone graduates from the Catholic school system with a pro choice attitude it means the system has failed. Whats next banning the teaching of evolution?

Granted I dont live there and of course we dont hear the full story through westren media. But it certianly has been protrayed in the last year or so that Isreal has been trying to actually fix the problem. I mean they just passed the legislation to remove the isreal settlements in the west bank. But ppl keep blowing themselves up, and I think a large part of it has been Arafat stooking the fires so to speak. Whatever happens it'll be intresting to see what happens in the next few months. I half expected his helicopter not to make it to france.

Hey they chose shruby cause he's done a good job over the past 3 years of keeping them in a constant state of fear. By doing this he's been able to hedge and prune thier rights and freedoms as he pleases (read patriot act). I knew as soon as I saw that shruby was doing a better job of portraying himself as a ass kicker that he'd win. Most yankes right now dont care what happens in the world as long as the narrow little view of them being safe and having cheap oil is protected. Expect the BS like Iraq to continue... You know what really gets me about the americans? Is that they refuse to take any responsability. Osma flew planes in buildings, dont get me wrong I disagree w/ terrorism but who helped train him? Americans dont like Saddam well who toppled the decomcraticly elected government in Iraq setting the stage for Saddam to take over? It's sad really after 9/11 the Americans had some much sympathy in the world and they could've used it as a positive force to make the world a better place, instead they went after targets Daddy couldnt...

Oh that sucks but I'm so dissapointed now. I was pissed when I saw I was going to miss both shows when I was in Europe and even more annoyed when I heard about the b-day bash happening like 12hours before I got back ;) But if its like you said I probally wouldn't have enjoyed it all that much.
