well, he's said that he doesn't "mind" people audio bootlegging his shows... Everytime I've taped his shows its been done stealth style. Apparently he has a problem with people videotaping entire shows but not audio..... If you want to trade shows, there is a Matthew Good Hub http://mattgood.imgarbage.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=250 lots of shows from the last 2 tours were taped, and various others --- what Matt shows have you taped??? I'll be taping 6 shows this tour, and will put them on the hub.

i really do hope that these shows out west are being bootlegged... I"ll be doing 6 shows here in Ontario Looks like this will be the most bootlegged tour so far... giddy up

I used these mics on his last tour http://www.minidiscaccess.com/item.html?PRID=1334659 they seem to do quite well... They are pretty good for stealth and also have great quality I will be using the same gear --- SONY MZ-N707 -> Dual Channel Power Supply Bass Rolloff -> MM-HLSC-1 HighLine "Sennheiser Driven" Cardioid Stereo Mics For this acoustic tour I'll crank down the bass rolloff, because I won't be too worried about loud bass btw, what shows are you planning to bootleg?? I'll be taping both Waterloo's, Barrie, Kingston, Ottawa, and St. Catherines.... hopefully London, and TO.... if i get scalpers tickets

Why is that? To preserve quality? My 192kpbs mp3's (for an ipod-type device) sound great. I can't hear the difference between the flac and the mp3. Although I haven't really tried to listen carefully.. I figured since it's a live there aren't any meticulously mixed sounds that need to be preserved... probably my ignorance talking though haha -ayz since its a live recording, any loss of quality will degrade the sound even further. Almost all tapers want to keep their recordings lossless.

get the flac plugin for winamp--- its called in_flac i believe none of these 2005 shows are supposed to be converted in mp3..... unless you want to use it for personal use like for an Ipod, for example........ if you do that, make sure you do not share them

The good audio source is on the hub... if you d/l it, please remember to keep it lossless

one of the worst crowds I've seen.... the crowd was pretty bad at last years show there too. too many drunken fools who aren't paying attention.. unnecessary screaming, people making out right beside me, people talking on cell phones during quiet songs... geez stay at home and booze it up with your buddies, or stay at home if you wanna make out with your b/f or g/f. I don't wanna see that and quite frankely nobody else does -- why pay 30+ $ to do that??? STAY HOME

well... I'll probably host a couple songs from my computer at home. I'm gonna send the shows to 5ilent to have him edit them and make it sound extra nice. Then I'll probably throw them on the hub and make a torent.

I know someone else that bootlegged the show and he was at the front with us.....he came from Sarnia and has an AWESOME setup, he let me listen to some of the Toronto show the other night and it's amazing quality. well I taped last nights show, so we already have stuff to send him. It sounds really good.

well, everyone is going to be really happy. My bootleg of the shows sounds really really good. Maybe even better than the Kool Haus recording. When i get home in a couple days, I'll start working on releasing it.
