  1. like i said in the "matts bday setlist" thread...i go to disorientation. its got a complete tour archive, which is uber handy for a nerd like moi ;)
  2. not that i should be mentionin other sites...but 'disorientation' has a complete tour archive. (except the webmaster hasnt gotten around to this years tour yet) wish i had that good of a memory! but i live in onterrible anyways, so it wouldve been highly unlikely that i attended this show ;)
  3. AOB songs that were played on the 2001 summer tour: the fall of man AND under the influence ... at the following shows Memorial Arena Victoria, British Columbia June 20, 2001 -------------------- Sport Mart Place Kamloops, British Columbia June 22, 2001 -------------------- Prince George Multiplex Prince George, British Columbia June 23, 2001 -------------------- Canada Games Arena, The Crystal Centre Grande Prairie, Alberta June 25, 2001 -------------------- The Centrium Red Deer, Alberta June 26, 2001 -------------------- Enmax Centre Lethbridge, ALberta June 27, 2001 -------------------- Calgary Stampede Calgary, Alberta June 29, 2001 -------------------- Northlands Coliseum Edmonton, Alberta June 30, 2001 -------------------- The Forks Winnipeg, Manitoba July 01, 2001 -------------------- Kingswood Music Theatre Maple, Ontario July 06, 2001 (interesting note about this show, the boys did " Load Me Up / Rock You Like A Hurricane" .... wish i had seen that!) -------------------- Delaware Speedway Park Komoka, Ontario July 07, 2001 -------------------- Tall Ships Challenge Port Colborne, Ontario July 08, 2001 (another cover, this time ac/dc ... worked hello timebomb into "thunderstruck") -------------------- Metropolis Montreal, Quebec July 10, 2001 -------------------- LeBreton Flats Ottawa, Ontario July 11, 2001 -------------------- Indy Grounds Vancouver, British Columbia July 28, 2001 ALSO, he did throw out a couple loser anthems tracks on this tour, as he made 'the man from harold wood', 'flashdance II' and 'life beyond the minimum safe distance' staples on the setlist. hope that answers the original question

  5. Curious ... Has anyone been fortunate enough to see the new video for ITS BEEN AWHILE SINCE I WAS YOUR MAN yet? I dont have cable, and therefore forced to wait til the vid is on the site. I would love a little teaser, or heck, even the whole run down on the video (did i just say 'heck' ??!!) thanks!
  6. just an idea they (IMDB) might have got our Matthew Good, confused/mixed up with a certain British actor Matthew GoodE you may know him from such classics Chasing Liberty with ... Mandy Moore
  7. i dont feel bad for dubbya at all. the guy is a complete tosser, not to mention a terrible speaker. he always has this creepy lil smile on his face... agreed, gore mighta creamed him in the last debates, but that doesnt really matter when you can slime your way into the white house lined with daddys pockets p.s. there is a new blog up redgarding the debates. yay!
  8. he was probably watchin the debate last night... i expect a detailed rant of some sort to be in there later today.... at least, im crossin my fingers.

  13. this is a tough one... do you pick a slow build up one... or go with an intense fack - kickin tune?? im curious.
  14. yayayayayayayayayayaya So excited i just got enough money to download comfortable criminals AND cant get shot in the back ... im so happppppppyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy thanks lcpja
  15. hey i had a query when i went and saw matt in orangeville a few weeks back, during North American For Life, he skipped the lyrics "george is teachin the kids to fight - look at the world and tell me its alright" anyone else at the show notice this? and was it just a one-time thing, or has anyone else noticed this at recent shows?? he doesnt strike me as the type for self-censorship ... and he was in a pretty terrible mood, seemed to have had a bit to drink...just kinda surprised me, cos i always wait for those lyrics
  16. that was a tough one!!!!!
  17. i'd say most of the cover art pretty accurately represents each album. i really did like beautiful midnight, cos we took photography in college and we learned how to slow down the shutter speed and take night time pics like that. but i find the WLRRR cover very very beautiful. somethin about the empty, night time scene.
  18. wow, thats so crazy. kinda neat to see that (did i just say neat?) cos almost every song you picked as your least fave holds so much meaning to me. i guess thats why music is just oh-so-magical ... and opinions are just that
  19. i actually just saved up enough NF$ to download "cant get shot in the back if you dont run " wow, i mean, i heard it live back in may... but this version is so bare and so sad ... his vocals are very raw sounding. theres definite love goin towards cant get shot.
  20. i used to really not like "every name is my name" but i definitely dont hate it like i used to anymore... that might be my least favourite
  21. are you poking fun??? nah. seriously tho, after doin shrooms and listening to avalanche, that album is mindblowing. i know that sounds like pot smokers talk. but really. the city lights at nite, intense convos about the state of the world, and that slight feelin of paranoia that creeps over your body before the buzz hits...this all was in sync with avalanche
  22. now. im just gonna take a stab in the dark here... anyone feeling kind and generous enough to donate some songs or even NF $$$ to me?? or even just add me to their msn to send some tracks that way ... ????? pretty pretentious of me to ask i know... but sometimes "you gotta keep kickin at the dark until it beelds daylight" and, its all for a good cause...im on a mission, a personal quest really. tryin to obtain all bonus/bside tracks. will compose a stellar mix cd. could result in a match made in heaven ... maybe just wishful thinkin. ive heard these but have been unable to get 'em on my comp. big city life 4 min mile cant get shot comfortable criminals and these, i mean its tragic, i havent even heard these ones...really, there should be a law ... reliance pony boy all together shouldve been a super villain someone mentioned the HUB...what is it, how do i get access?? i will undergo a series of rigorous tests til the high-up and rich people in here deem me responsible and capable of owning such rare finds. just a monkey. really only a monkey. in a long line ...
  23. fearless "Is there anything that I need to say That hasn't been said before And I have been polite for too long Why should I be anymore " "Stay yourself and nothing less Stay fearless" close second and third would be suburbia ("baby if I was in demand you would be mine") and hosam ("I've fallen asleep again And when I wake up you won't be here")
  24. MGB ALBUMS LOGTA-tie:the war is over and fearless RAYGUN-so long mrs smith UNDERDOGS-change of season LOFI-fated BEAUTIFUL MIDNIGHT-suburbia LOSER ANTHEMS-fine art of falling apart AOB-sort of a protest song MG ALBUMS AVALANCHE-tie: avalanche & hosam WLRRR-blue skies DEMOS BROKEN-whispering in the dark LEFT OF NORMAL-waiting for the great destruction EUPHONY-dancing invisible 15 HOURS-last of the ghetto astronauts
  25. First album I bought was UNDERDOGS, cos I saw some interview on MuchMusic and they played the symbolistic white walls video - but my HMV didnt have that cd. So I completely drowned myself in Underdogs for like a year ... then I went out to BC and picked up Raygun and LOGTA at A&B sound... soaked in those for months and months... Lined up to buy Beautiful Midnight, perfect lyrics for where I felt I was in my life. So I had no trouble gettin into that one. Loser Anthems was a great CD for me to walk to work to at 5 am, when the whole city was asleep ... Audio Of Being once again was the soundtrack to my life and I remembered what it felt like to have a CD i couldnt stop listening to. Avalanche however ... I couldnt get into right away. Sure I listened to it front to back often, but never really appreciated its beauty. Til now. After consuming a copious amount of drugs one nite a few weeks back and having one of the greatest converstaions in my life, and even beautiful silences, I have realised now, that album is brilliant. But, my point is, in a long-winded attempt, that I didnt appreciate it at the time, and never really got into it til now. WLRRR i instantly felt connected to, especially cos I was excited for any and all new Matt Good. sorry that was so ridiculously long
