  1. Awesome...thanks for posting the link to the pictures. ;)
  2. I don't understand how something so wonderful like Rage Against the Machine and Soundgarden can turn into... Audioslave. Sorry, not a fan. But I do love RATM.
  3. How was your drive back to the states? Not too bad... though we did get back at about 5am. Yours?
  4. I was wondering the same thing since I didn't take a camera to the show.
  5. Wow... the show was AMAZING! I guess everyone else pretty much covered the details, but I figured I'd throw something in. The first opening band was called Mobile and I thought they were pretty good, but I really didn't care for Auf Der Maur. I got a chance to meet Matt after the show and I actually got a little star-struck, which is highly unlike me, but we talked politics and other things and it was everything I could have wanted it to be. And he signed my setlist. It was also nice to get a chance to meet some other Matt Good fans! (Sorry for the lack of a coherent post... I got in at about 5am and had to get up early to do some work)
  6. Crazy movie. I saw it a few weeks ago and it took me until the end of that weekend to determine that I loved it.
  7. Someone gave me an American flag sticker right after Sept 11th and no one would "let" me throw it away, so i stuck it to my desk at home upside down. It's still there today. Like they said, it's a distress signal of sorts, not really anything disrespectful.
  8. From what I've been taught, if you're a minor and you want to have an abortion, a judge can sign a form granting you permission so that you do not have to ask or tell your parent/guardian. This new law sucks for young women in Florida, indeed. Let's hope it doesn't last or spread.
  9. Add another embarassed American to your list. Like I said in one of the other threads...anyone want to put me up for a few years after I go to London from January-June?
  10. I can truly say that I'm ashamed to be an American today. My vote went for Kerry and I'm not saying he was a saint, but damn, he HAD to be better than Bush. Anyone want to let me move in with them next year when I get back from England?
  11. I'm actually taking a class this semester about campaigns and elections in the US and we were discussing the election last night. The class was pretty much evenly divided, but my group agreed that Kerry could pull off a victory, though whoever loses will no doubt legally challenge the results. I doubt we'll know for sure tonight. Man, I hope it's Kerry in the end. That or I'm moving to Canada.
  12. Last week, he said "We will not have an all volunteer army" and didn't realize his "bluff" until some guy in the crowd shouted it out to him.
  13. They were fantastic. Ever see '24 Hour Party People'?
  14. I'll be there. Can't wait!
  15. I love the episode with Barbara Striesand and Robert Smith of the Cure. Best episode ever. Second favorite is the Afghanistan one.
  16. They're one of my favorite bands, actually... and they put on a killer live show. I'm supposed to see them twice in November.
  17. Start by contacting the venue... sometimes they'll let you in with a "parent" or to a non-bar area of the club. If they don't, get a fake ID or something. Good luck.
  18. I really like him, too. "Waltz #2" is probably my favorite of his songs.
  19. Running For Home. Hands down winner in my opinion.
  20. I love that show, too. I seem to always catch mini-marathons, so I lose entire days to learn about peeing on the third rail and teaching fish to swim through aquarium-mazes.
  21. Among others... Fight Club Office Space Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind Garden State American Beauty Zoolander
  22. I got the American release the day it came out, listened to it once, and put it on my CD rack, where it remains today. Once you listen to the real track listing (Canadian, which I had gotten used to at that point), you can't change it without losing meaning.
  23. I know a bunch of people who like them, actually.
  24. In my book, nothing says suck like Creed.
  25. I can and will.
