My friend loved Mother Mother so much at the Red Deer show that she got tickets for their show in the new year in Calgary. I am looking forward to it would like to hear some other stuff of theirs that they didn't have a chance to feature.

As far as I understand it two separate contests... one on behalf of Matthew Good, the other on the behalf of Bravo.

I have to concur with the assessment that On Nights Like Tonight and Avalanche are two kindered spirits. I also love the reworked version of Empty's Theme Park, in fact I think it was the best part of the show when it's included. I also am very disheartened to read this afternoon that Matt is still getting hassled about not hanging out at the bus after the show, especially in the manner he described. I work with stupidity on a daily basis and it never fails to astound me how persistent it is in our society!! But it also means two other words for me as well: Job Security!!

The contest through the MG Blog didn't have any rules listed what so ever, just how to enter it!

Is that disclaimer on the Bravo site?? There was nothing noted on the Matthew Good blog... which would totally suck big time... I would be willing to fly in from Calgary to see this!!

I put my name in the first day it was on the blog, it would be awesome to get in on it, even if I have to fly in from Calgary!!

Blake was awesome to watch, I can only imagine how tired his arms were after Empty's Theme Park... he really brought it...

I was on the right hand side and there were some guys around me that wouldn't shut up!! This was the first opportunity I've ever had to see Matt live (been a fan since 1997!)... and it was totally worth it to go and see all four Alberta shows.

I think part two is on X92.9 next week... grrrrrrrr by the way is it streaming elsewhere I missed the first 10 minutes

Awesome... I was at that show... LOVED IT!!!

There's no way that they would be able to impose a two drink limit... people will always find a way around that one!! Here's something simple... if you're being an asshole, you get kicked out... simple as that!!! I been to concerts where whole rows were kicked out because they pissed everyone around them off!! It would be in the best interest of the venue as well... no more attempts to rip out seats!!

Speaking of which is there a full verison of Empty's Theme Park on Youtube??

I was totally annoyed with the drunken buffoons at the last Calgary show. Given his comment about the Saskatoon show, it sounds like it didn't get any better which is unfortunate because it's likely in the future he'll skip Saskatchewan all together (I can hardly blame him). As for those that attempted to rush the stage during the encore of the second show in Calgary, I was sitting in row B and there were two security guys sending people back to their seats... which kind of ironic because I was also at the Red Deer show where half of the back part of the theatre rushed the stage and no one was asked to return to their seats. I knew that I was not going to be guaranteed the some songs that I wanted to hear, that is why I bought tickets to all four shows in Alberta. I would do it again in a heart beat. If he started charging $70 a ticket I'd do the same damn thing, because I am a fan of his music. He stated during both the Red Deer show and the second Calgary show that he was only half there... wow if he was only half there I can't imagine how awesome it'd be if he was all there!! I hope that the rest of the tour goes without a hitch and for those that have tickets for the upcoming shows and are a big fan like I am I think you'll leave impressed... I still can't get Empty's Theme Park out of my head and would pay $70 just to see that performance again!

Wow! Jane, you're so lucky!!! I've totally missed out on all the demos, but from the rave reviews I can't wait to hear the new album!! Hear a little rumor that Matt is a avid Habs fan... could this be true?? Oh be still my heart!! ;)

Just looking at the last tour, he did at least 7 shows in Alberta and Saskatoon... I am hoping in all likelihood he will plan on doing the same tour... what a way to cap off celebrations for my 30th birthday!! My goal is to hit every show that is within an 8 hour driving distance. Oh and if he ever did a show in Finland... I'd be there in a heartbeat!!
