  1. The Killers are awesome. I bought their album on Christmas Eve and I think I missed Christmas dinner because I was still listening to it. ;) 'Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine' is genious. The only track on the CD that I'm not fond of 'Everything Will Be Alright'. It's too repetitive. But the rest is great.
  2. I love every Matt Good/Band song, but "Every Name is my Name" I tend to skip over. It has the same beat throughtout most of it, and it's a spoken-type song, which I'm not a fan of. I like the lyrics for it, though. I just wish the song had a better harmony.
  3. If that happened, I'd be in an alley somewhere singing to a Smirnoff bottle. "If it makes you happyyyy, then it can't be that baaaad, if it makes you happyyyy, then why the hell are you so sad?" Aaron Smith can kiss my ass. ;)
  4. - Suburbia. When I first heard it, the music was so beautiful, that I was thrown off guard when I actually listened to the lyrics. Kind of haunting. - Prime Time Deliverance. "They found her in her room, wearing a pink bunny suit, in sour cherry lipstick, hanging from the closet door. Her eyes were wide, maybe to despise, maybe just to look into your headlight morning glow." Chilling. (The last line of the song is, "She says the best thing you can do is hang around a while..." I don't know if that has any connection to the suicide line, but I always thought that was spooky.)
  5. Beautiful Midnight. It's the first CD of theirs that I bought so it has the most fond memories. Plus, it includes great liner notes and 3 of my favorites songs. (Hello Time Bomb, I Miss New Wave and Failing the Rorschach Test)
  6. Thanks. I'm glad I don't have to sit through that movie now. lol
  7. On IMDB, it lists Matt in the movie "Going the Distance" as himself. Has anyone seen it and would it be worth watching for Matthew? (I normally hate teen sex comedies.) ;)
  8. Oh! Duh! What was I thinking. I've never seen the vid for "Everything is Automatic". I've been emailing MuchMusic and requesting a few videos and they never play them. They manage to plug JoJo 8000 times but they can't play MGB? ::wtf::
  9. I would have loved "under the influence" and "the rat who would be king" from AoB as videos. "Deep six" and "everything is automatic" from Underdogs.
  10. I never would have guessed... Thanks ;)
  11. What is Matt saying, instead of "taco bell shoes"? In "Jenni's Song" when Matt sings "I've seen red most of this little life", I used to think he says "A secret most of this little life"
  12. This movie freaking OWNS! It gave me a lot of resepct for Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie. (Does that make me sound like a geek? *cleans thick-rimmed glasses*)
  13. Pistachio: A Boy and his Nuts In 6th grade, a wrote a story about Pistachio, much like Pinochio. Pistachio was a nut, and he was trying to... do something... or other for his father but he got himself into a big heap of trouble. So he tried lying about it, but everytime he lied, instead of his nose growing larger, he became saltier and greener. His father was Gepeanut (pron. Juh-Peanut) and his catch frase was "Jumpin' jellybeans!". The story recieved critical acclaim from my teacher and fellow students. ;) Anyway, I think it would be cool to see something mimicing Pinochio in that sense. lol
  14. I believe abortion is only an option when the baby is a result of rape or incest. If you are a teenager, and didn't use a condom (silly you), then don't blame the baby's life on your mistake. You can always put it up for adoption, or keep it. I know that sometimes when you first see the baby for the first time in your arms, all your hate for it will change. But that's just some people. Also, don't abuse the option for abortion. If you think "Well, I'm pregnant, but I don't want to develope love-handles." That's is NOT a reason for abortion. (Besides, children need something to grab onto when they want your attention; it's really a bonus) ;)
  15. In 'Near Fantastica', when he says "Can't fear fear, fear's the mind killer", I thought he was saying "Can't fear fear, fear's the fine killer". I'm like, wha...?
