Champion Of Nothing

hi, i was wondering, how many of you would be interested in doing a "NF Bored" tribute album to matt good. It could have a specific theme (album 8 demos, singles etc.) or be free game. We'll work out more details once i find out how many of you are interested and have the equipment accessible to record a song.

tidal wave is not an album 8 demo and neither is the teaser, those were both set for a hospital music b-side ep. here are all the demos, i put them in a nice order that give them more of an album quality: 1. the boy who could explode 2. fought to fight it 3. on nights like tonight 4. vancouver national anthem 5. bad pennies 6. volcanoes 7. us remains impossible 8. empty's theme park 9. silent army in the trees there's also a clip of another A8 demo that he posted in a video on his site, it wasn't complete. since these 9 demos add up to an hour, he should make about 20 and do a double disc, that'd be cool.

this is ridiculous... 1) found a formula that works? this new stuff is completely different from hospital music and as well anything hes done before, it's very experimental. Isn't that what part of this discussion is about? How he's parted too much from his old stuff, then you turn around and say that it's the same... 2) EMO? what the hell is that? of course this stuff (yes, even his new stuff, is far from emo. If you think emo is just like, writing about something sad, then that's just stupid. Emo is a genre for a reason. It's whining dumb lyrics that do not get backed up by what the band is playing (they like playing faster semi-poppy shit) while the singer just whines about shit with no agression or emotion backing it up, just so they can fall into the stupid ass trend. Matthew Good is not emo...far from it, just cause he writes a few songs about his divorce. 3) yes, he's experimenting, these are demos.... 4) this conversation has become just stupid, state your opinion on the song and don't bash other people for liking it and wanting to enjoy it, if you don't like it then deal with it.
