  1. Looks like he made the list.
  2. It's not music to just sit down and listen to. However I myself am able to do this as I play in a post-rock band so I really enjoy it. But for the average person it's more of just mood music to have going when your driving, browsing the internet, eating. It sets the mood for anything. Happy or sad.
  3. They we're on the secondary TD Stage but still the fact they got the spot is impressive.
  4. That sucks man! I was fortunate enough to see them when they stopped in Calgary for Virgin Fest. They put on great live show, electric Ukuleles and all. But yeah I'd recommend picking up Howe Sounds.
  5. Born Ruffians The Frames Frightened Rabbit Great Lake Swimmers Ra Ra Riot Said The Whale Wintersleep Little more indie then your top five, but have the same idea going on.
  6. Few of my favorites from 08. Frightened Rabbit - The Midnight Organ Fight Sigur R
  7. haha thanks. And if anyone is curious, I've loved these guys for a very long time. Not just since Matt discovered them ;)
  8. I personally think it's look a little too happy... Doesn't exactly fit with the demos that I've heard...
  9. To the best of my knowledge the last time Matt used a real live symphony orchestra on an album was Avalanche. There was a blurb about it on his old discography page how he would never be able to afford to do that again. Hospital Music and the new demoes we've been hearing our sounds created through a keyboard from a Symphony Orchestra Jam Pack for Garageband. I myself own this jam pack and can say they do sound very realistic once you play around with the settings and can really add to the song. This post on his site will probably answer any other questions you may have http://www.matthewgood.org/2008/10/demoing...ns-and-answers/
  10. or the calgary sun.
  11. I had the same problem on my macbook with every track after Prime Time Deliverance. They would crackle, cut out or oddly skip. I simply deleted and re-ripped Underdogs and they play like a charm now. Only CD that's ever caused me that problem out of 10,000 + music library. Just try re-ripping it. Should work fine. And winn23, if you mean the album art won't carry over it's because iTunes stores the art in a separate folder then where your music is stored in most cases. It's not actually embedded into the id tags.
  12. No vinyl. ;)
  13. Your vocals we're amazing man. Good work. Just like you already said, guitar was fast. But to someone who's never heard the song before I'm sure it sounded great.
  14. The blue highlight looks great with everything else mac, it matches with the rest of OSX's appearance. I'm not going to change it just so I can read spoilers on the bored with a little more ease. After all, it's not that big of deal anyways.
  15. I feel your pain.
  16. Side one purchased. And loving it. Now if only my touch will be delivered this week.
  17. Do you guys think the vinyl will include a code to redeem the songs digitally over itunes? Recent releases such as In Rainbows and Viva La Vida have done this.
  18. How about now? This is way past the due date.
  19. Nevermind that Finger 11 shit. How about Rush, The Guess Who, Neil Young, BTO, Tom Cochrane, Blue Rodeo, Great Big Sea, Arcade Fire, Bryan Adams, The Watchmen, Billy Talent to only name a few. And of course the ones you mentioned, olp, matt good, sloan, sam roberts, the hip. And there's always the french stuff, i'm a big fan of malajube. Canada has a lot of great music, they could easily produce a "canadian guitar hero"
  20. You might want to get your ears check out ;)
  21. Oh man I'm feeling the same way. I was just waiting for him to cough something out. Not to mention, the guitar wasn't that great either. Love the judges, apparently apparitions is a "rock ballad" haha.
