  1. Awesome finds, thanks! I remember when he posted those entries and have been trying to find them ever since he took them down. Now if I can just find the one where he talks about how the record company made him change/write new songs for records to make the albums more mainstream.
  2. Here is the vid. I suggest selecting 720p or 1080p:
  3. Went to the Edmonton show @ Capital Ex last night. Here's the setlist from it: Born Losers Last Parade Load Me Up The Future is X-Rated Shallows Low Zero Orchestra Everything is Automatic Alert Status Red Hello Time Bomb I'm A Window Non Populus Apparitions Weapon Champions of Nothing Strange Days (acoustic) Overal solid show as always from Matt, vocals were spot on as well. Nice to see Pat on drums too! Lots of singles since it was a festival show. After last night, I really do think Matt should stop doing festivals. I know it's probably good money, but the crowd was pretty brutal. Maybe it's just Edmonton, but it seemed like a good chunk of the crowd were expecting to mosh to Matt's songs lol. I saw more weed and alcohol being snuck in than I did at the Shinedown concert I just went to! Matt even stopped playing at the beginning of Alert Status Red to tell off a bunch of moshers. You could see him eyeing them during the opening verse, then he flat out told the band to stop, pointed at the area of people, and went on a nice little rant about violence at concerts. I would paraphrase but I honestly wouldn't do his speech justice (maybe someone happened to record it?). Fortunately thay didn't stop the flow of the show, and from there it was all good until......fireworks! Right in the middle of the last encore song, Strange Days. Capital Ex has a fireworks display every night at 11pm, and I know it's not really their fault that Matt is still playing, but it was definitely destracting since the song was acoustic only, and I could see how annoyed Matt was, glancing up at the fireworks through the song. To sum it up: great concert! Shitty crowd and venue. Hope Matt does a full on tour soon. Some pics and a short vid of Weapon to come. EDIT: Pics:
  4. Some pics of The Tea Party at the Edmonton Event Centre
  5. Anyone else attending any of their shows? Going to the one in Edmonton tonight, should be fun! http://teaparty.com/
  6. Hi all, Been a while since I lest checked in here, just though I'd see what's happening. Went to the show in Edmonton last night, was absolutely amazing! And the fact that I had VIP tix so I got to meet Matt definitely topped anything I've ever been to. Here is the set list from last night: While We Were Hunting Rabbits Lights of Endangered Species Boy Who Could Explode Born Losers What if I can't See the Stars, Mildred? Zero Orchestra The Future is X-rated Load Me Up Non Populus Apparitions Weapon Shallow's Low Encore: Giant Alert Status Red Champions of Nothing Set Me On Fire I also took some pics, quality isn't so good as i was using my phone but some turned out decent (first pic is me and my gf with Matt): http://www.flickr.com/photos/48004031@N06/ Just a few thoughts on the show: - Rabbits was even better than I thought! Even after watching some youtube videos people took, it still gave me chills. - Matt was very engaging with the crowd, often talking for 5 minutes between songs. - Watching Milo, Jimmy during songs was great! Seems the whole band loves to joke around and has a lot of fun during shows. More often then not I would see Milo and Jimmy exchanging looks of laughter over something. - Was nice to see Ian doing drums, since I was never able to see MGB. He seemed a little out of place compared to the rest o the band. Not as loose, and never showing any emotion, but damn he can still play! Loved a couple little bits he did during LMU and X-Rated. - There was crowd a bit of crowd shouting, more than any other MG show I've been to before (this is my 5th one). Matt even commented on it early on in the show, asking why people feel the need to shout random things out. One guy was shouting "Born to Kill" out for a while, so Matt jokingly tried to play the beginning of it, and after playing a few notes on his guitar he yelled back "well that's all I remember" (I had a small hope he would remember how to play it haha). - During one of the first few songs (maybe someone who went can help me out on this one) during one of the lengthy guitar bits Matt came down to the front of the stage and sat on the edge in front of a few people in the first row. I was in the fourth row so I could even see him mouthing words and having a convo with someone in the front while playing. Funniest was when I could see Matt move his hand in frustration while playing and said to the guy he was talking to "Oh man, I fucked up" - Meet and great was all I hoped it would be. I went with my gf and we shook Matt's hand, said we enjoyed the show. I got one of my Audio of Being sleeves autographed (though in hindsight I should have brought my book instead :( ). They had a guy there who would take a picture for you if you gave him your camera. Honestly he isn't very good but he tries, and in hindsight I should have taken the flash off Anyways just my thoughts. Overall amazing show!

  9. Edmonton!
  10. The Rat Who Would Be King, and in a close 2nd is 21st Century Living.
  11. Like a lot of people it depends on my mood, but IF I had to choose, I would have to go with AoB. I just love the dark nature of the songs and the amount of emotion that was put into the record.
  12. I like The Rat Who Would Be King although it seems to be a song about lost love, the way I've interpreted it anyway.
  13. rofl, now that's funny
  14. Saw it on Much Music. I was parylized with shock until they said that Matt would be pursuing a solo career.
  15. Omissions without a doubt.
  16. Same here.
  17. Really is a tough choice, but I gotta go with Haven't Slept In Years.
  18. I like, therefore I voted for, Every Name Is My Name as it's musicaly different from all the songs on the album and the song itself sounds so damn good!
