Primarily in the US, though I think he does the occasional show in states close to the US/CA border (such as a New York one I think he recently did). This is both because his music is relatively unknown in the US as well as the fact that his activism generally doesn't go over well there.

Clearly yes. His complaint wasn't a lack of character development but the quality of character development (which he believes is poor). I absolutely agree with him, but I'd say the same even if I didn't.

Definitely overrated. I don't think it's entirely lacking in the humour department, but it certainly isn't as funny as everybody else lets on. Oh yes, and the LOTR trilogy -- the most overhyped movies ever, in my opinion. First was boring and too damn long. I fell asleep during the second (at 3pm in the afternoon) and never saw the third. It just wasn't worth my time.

Finally, somebody else likes Parable better. We're a rare breed, we are.

I rather like Auf der Maur, though I agree that she's not great live (at least compared with her album). It's too hard to understand her lyrics live. Her music can be pretty sexy though.
