Saw them in NJ when they were on tour with Velvet Revolver. I kinda wished they'd played longer. I was impressed, I thought he handled the job well. I'm an AIC fan from day one, and I was skeptical, but he was good. I think it'll leave you feeling pretty damned awesome. And Sodamnedneedstodigdeeper, you really have to go beyond the singles, to appreciate them as a band. Yes the singles rock, but there is some pretty fucking amazing shit sandwiched around them. I have a pretty big library of their stuff, the stuff that didn't make it on the albums is pretty fucking far out.

I saw them live and I thought he was pretty damned good. I've only heard the one track so far, I agree he's no Layne, but I won't hold it against him. It's not better, it's just different/

I never got a chance to weigh in on this. I liked it. I thought Spock and Kirk's Origins were spot on...kind of leaves the whole Kirk's brother story from the TOS a little wrecked. But okay. Also killing off Spock's mom bother's the shit out of me. She has such a tremendous ongoing impact on the character over time. I liked the tech, and I thought Cho was an awesome Sulu. The Bones character was spot on!!! I liked that Uhuru had more of role. The Spock romance thing was a very interesting twist. All in all the movie was fucking A.

Let me take a stab at this. I shaved my head because after years of shoulder length and longer hair, cool dye jobs, and chicks going nuts playing with it, it just got old, and became too much work. It's easier to manage now, and the feeling after a fresh shave is awesome. Besides out in cali it's a helluva a lot cooler in this heat. The women dig the baldness.
