  1. Yeah... i hated it also... but the video is cool though I must say i don't like that much Fearless and NorthAmerican for Life (even the accoustic one...)
  2. bingo was his name-o. i second that one. unless someone already seconded that, then i third it. I third it unless someone already did.... then i... hum... "forth it"
  3. I like the last part of Avalanche: "This key is to your Kingdom, this key is to your heart... neither ones a doorway, but both of them a part... so one foot in front of the other" Also, like someone else pointed out, i like very much the lyrics of the song "Parable"
  4. PrimeTime
  5. As Russell said earlier (if you would be reading previous messages on the tread). There is someone that is making 2 cds out of previous Matt release: Use this address: Matt Good History Teacher I made a donation (great idea to ask for donation) and received both cd and they are awesome!
  6. Getting tougher and tougher... but still my two favorites hold up.... Avalanche and PTD I think Avalanche will make it... but i really think that Weapon would be in top 4 if only it wouldn't have been against Avalanche on round 5
  7. You should... i received both cd and it's really good... i wonder why Matt is not releasing his previous stuff
  8. Actually he still own Universal another record that should be out later this year...

  10. In my mind it was the best solution, a simple greatest hits (cheaper) for part-time listener and a packed package for die-hard fans (which was also cheap considering 2 cds, reworking and a DVD). Explaining the options: - A complete new single CD (maybe complete accoustic) released as "Entirely new Stuff". It would have cost less to the buyer and may have been a good idea, but since Matt seem to be on a turning point, releasing a greatest hits seem to be the key solution to mark the end of an era. - It should not have been two differents versions: The problem is that here in Quebec, only the deluxe edition is available in stores (i never ever seen the standard single cd). I guess that store used the simple equation "bang for the buck" which mean the Deluxe Edition is worthing way more... for 10$ more you get new reworking and a DVD... but ordinary people just don't see it that way... - Should have been a video or a single with it: Bring back the question of publicity, "Big City Life" or "Oh be Joyfull" could have been a single/video (well there was a video for it, but i don't think it would have been playing... i know it was a joke, but still, releasing a video was a good idea). Which bring another question... is Universal really doing their job at promoting their artist? - It's as good as it should be: Well for fan (and mostly everyone on this site) it was, but for the regular listener (it should have been!) *** Update *** Well it should have been a poll but the server just didn't take it, so vote in your reply: - A complete new single CD - It should not have been two differents versions - Should have been a video or a single with it - It's as good as it should be - Other
  11. The question is "Why does in a coma resulted in bad sales" and NOT "What should have been done with in a coma" (Well i could do another poll though).
  12. My toughts also
  13. Absolutely... it's way more then a standard Greatest Hit cd... but still it was release as a greatest hits cd

  16. I was just reading last Matt post on his blog about year 2005 in review (well let say, his career on review) To view the post: http://www.matthewgood.org/mblog/?p=718 I know that "in a coma" didn't sell great (even if i still don't understand why... see other post) Post your though about it...
  17. Of course hardcore fan have bought it... but it's the regular fan market that fell short. When i first listen to it (well the rooms cd), i tought to myself "Thanks Matt for this gift"... because it was simply this: a gift to all his hardcore fans that followed him trough the years. There was nothing commercial, nothing to be played on radio... simply pure music... Matt said he enjoyed recording it, recording music for what it really is... Music without any restriction (well there was time restriction in the studio though) The problem is that "In a coma" was tagged as a "Greatest Hits" album instead of an accoustic/new stuff cd. Making it harder to sell since most people (part-time Matt Good listener) would say it's only reheated stuff... many could say it cost too much (even if really cheap for 2 cd and a dvd) for stuff they already own... and so on. I think Matt should have done a complete new cd (with accoustic song, and the 2 or 3 new songs) and sell it as a whole new album instead. He could even have released a complete accoustic cd. I think the "Greatest hits" thing have been used too much lately making it quite pointless (i think i heard someone say that Hilary Duff is having a greatest hits cd after two cd).
