Shiri replied to sodamntired's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
Very exciting day that to be honest I didn't think I'd be alive to see. I'm so happy I was wrong. -

I like it. Seen the first season and enjoyed it. I'd rent it.

I'd change the font and slightly the tones of the picture. Too bright for my taste.

Just wonderful.

Version 2.0 is my favorite. I still listen to it every once in a while. Did Shirley get around to release her solo album? I have no clue.

Shade's Album Upload Topic
Shiri replied to shade's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
It's a great album ;) Anyone has anything by Alberta Cross? -
I have no clue who I look like, I've never been compared to anyone. Except for the girl from The Ring when I had super long hair. Haha. So far Christine has it dead on!

I found Yes Man quite entertaining as well. A bunch of friends decided to go to theater spontenously and had a good time. Gran Turino. Pretty good. And the first half of Eagle Eye before I went to sleep, surprisingly better than expected.

I use mininova.org for movies and TV shows and such. Don't know any good ones for music? Any invites to anywhere? -

Maybe we can turn this thread into "Where do you find your rare MP3's? thread" -
Do you use a RSS reader? If so, which one? How many feeds do you follow? Any interesting ones you'd like to share?

I think you're wrong, Palestine was the name of the whole region before Israel was declared but it was never a recognized country by anyone. At least not that I know of.

He looks much younger than 60 and certainly much younger than Iggy Pop. -
What Videogame(s) Are You Playing Right Now?
Shiri replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in Tech Section: A Hard Drive at Risk
I don't really play videos games, I think I'd have more geek cred if I did. I did play a bit of Red Alert 3 a while ago just for nostalgia's sake, it was alright. -
I don't think it was ever recognized as a country? Anyway, here are my two cents. I think this was long time coming. Rockets have been flying over Sderot and various other cities in Israel for years. The death toll is far smaller than anything going on right now in Gaza but you have to understand that people living in those cities have gotten used to living their lives between alarm to another, heading off to shelters every time it goes and fearing for their lives for literally years. As someone who experienced this kind of daily-routine for merely a month two years ago, I have to tell you that I have no idea how those people do it. It's a horrible way to raise your children and live your life but they have no choice but their homes and jobs are there and they have no other place to go. Obviously I'd be a complete idiot to deny that what's going on in Gaza right now is horrible. Innocent people getting killed isn't something anyone wants to see, or at least I'd like to think so. I think nobody can really say how this operation will end and what would be its long-term results but hopefully it will change something because the situation cannot go on the way it is. To be honest, I'm quite doubtful that this conflict will ever be resolved. I certainly don't believe I'll live to see it.
