I'm really liking this song...

Thanks guys for your words. And I'd also like to thank Matt for posting the email I sent him. As for the withdrawl, it wasn't partial. Though the Hezbollah kept pulling tricks in the area and because we didn't want to go back right after the withdrawl, we didn't really respond. I guess they thought the same would happen after they kidnapped the two soldiers.

Met my girlfriend there and a few good friends. So that's a plus, but other than that I wasn't a fan.

Yep, got released in November.

I'm not afraid, I can't really explain it, I suppose I'm pretty indifferent to it. We watch the news on TV a lot but apart from that, we're just living our lives or at least trying to. We can't go outside so the computer keeps me busy. I suppose it's strage, this whole thing is strange.

Pretty close, I'm in a part of the city that hasn't been hit, I live on the mountain while most of the attacks are focused on the bay.

Sorry... My friend asked from his cousins in Canada to send it to him. You should try ordering it from Canada.

Thanks guys. Today I think there were more rockets than yesterday here in Haifa but no one got killed thankfully. A lot of sirens quite often telling us to go to the shelter. Even one in 6 AM that woke us all up. No one is leaving their homes, I haven't been out since Friday and I'm sooo bored...

I got it for my birthday and still didn't read it...

Okay, things are relativly quiet now so I have time to answer to your questions. I'll begin by saying that I really hate talk about politics which is why I usually stay around from this section of the Bored, but for some reason I had an urge to comment this time. I know that a lot of people think we were just waiting for a reason to go to war and that our response was too much. But you have realize that those two soldiers being kidnapped aren't the entire reason this whole crisis began, it's just the straw that broke the camel's back. We've been responsing moderatly to a bunch of things that happened by that organization. I don't think Isreael plans to go to war with the whole Middle East. I don't think we'll attack any other country but Lebanon unless they attack us first and then we'll obviously have to response. About seeking peaceful solutions, I honestly have no idea but I don't think there're any negotioations going on at the moment. I certainly don't envy the Lebanese people, obviously they're in worse conditions than we are and I believe they are innocent victims in this exactly like the families that rockets hit their houses in Israel. I just think that watching the news from half a world away tends to make people think in a certain way because it's far away from them and doesn't seem that realistic. I don't expect everyone to agree with me, I totally respect your opinions even if they're different than mine. I just thought I'd give a different point of view you to your discussion. I'm not trying to convince anybody and I don't think I have anything else to say more than I have already.

I'd gladly answer all of your questions but I'm afraid I don't have the time to do so right now. I woke up to the sound of loud booms and sirens and spent most of my Sunday morning in the shelter. The rockets have reached Haifa and already killed 8 people. I'll write back when I can.

Because like I always said, cats are evil!

Looking forward to hear that.

Yeah, someone sent me this the other day, it's hilarious.

supercanuk and ecnarf, I have to say that I completely disagree with you. Obviously I come from quite a different point of view since I was born and raised here in Israel. But to say that these are the people who have been slaugthered in WWII and now they're slaugthering others is just incorrect. First of all, I'd like to say that I don't agree with everything the Israeli govement does, to be honest, I don't agree with most of it. But can you imagine 70 rockets in 24 hours going down on houses and innocent people and the goverment not doing a single thing about it? That's not rational. I'm quite left-winged and I don't support violence but sometimes there's no other way. I don't think anyone who watches CNN and reads about this online really knows what it's like to live here in Israel. My brother has to join the army for three years when he turns 18 just like any other person here in Israel, do you imagine what it's like for parents of every 18 year-old boy to not be able to sleep at night for three years because their child might be in danger? Can you imagine what it's like to be in kindergarten and carry your gas mask everywhere in case Iraq will decide to send chemical rockets? Well, I can, because I went through all of that. As sad as that sounds, I got used to exploding buses, to rockets falling north and south and that's the reality here. Sure, the Palestnians don't have a peacy life and I'm not say we're completely innocent. But sometimes enough and enough. And I wish the U.S. would do something instead of saving its own ass and fight for oil. Peace in the middle east? My ass.
