  2. Did you guys see him on Richler, Ink a couple of years ago? I was so surprised to see him on TV, but not at all surprised to see him within intelligent discussion; he's rare in that he's your articulate, eloquent type of rock star.
  3. Any chance I could convince you to do a yousendit for the Can't Get Shot cut? I love that song, and I'm trying to earn the NF$ for it... Anyway, I have a slow connection, so it would tie up my email for awhile... I'd love to hear that version though. Please? EDIT: That OBJ Acoustic version is awesome. Matt Good is like the Canadian alternative-music Tupaq. There's always tons of shit to hear; extra music and different versions of tunes and stuff. One thing I treasure is the CD of early MG stuff I burned from Morpheus years ago...
  4. Don't forget pigs! And pandas. Dude, why not get a shirt made with a panda on it? Then only some super hardcore fans would know, not the bandwagon jumpers who go to his shows cos that song "Hello Time Bob" was cool.
  5. I agree with a lot of what's been said so far; I think acoustic versions of songs are the most interesting when they're songs you can't easily picture in such a manner. I would recommend a few more upbeat tunes like that: Indestructible Look Happy, It's The End Of The World Load Me Up Going All The Way Man Of Action The Workers Sing A Song Of Mass Production We're So Heavy And I think that while songs like Machine Gun and Suburbia and stuff would be awesome acoustic, I'd rather see them performed in a little intimate, dark club with like 4 other people and Matt sipping whiskey over the course of the night. And the acoustic cut of Near Fantastica is awesome, indeed.
  6. I... am... underdogs... which is cool with me, as most days it's my favourite. I don't know why. It was the first I'd heard of Matt's music, and the first CD I owned.
  7. 1) Oh Be Joyful 2) Euphony 3) Anti-pop 4) It's Been Awhile Since I Was Your Man 5) Generation X-Wing (Rooms) --> WOW! Tough. 6) Fall Of Man 7) Born To Kill 8) Change Of Season 9) Fated Lot of difficult choices this time around. Especially #5.
  8. Institute - "Distort Yourself" Don't let the unquestionably lame cover art fool you - this is one awesome album. Very listenable, and flies by. Probably my second favourite album of 2005. bobbyfoley.com
  9. Can only think of a few current good ones. Jeff Martin, Nigel Pulsford, Jonny Lang, Daniel Johns, Chris Duarte, uh... John Mayer is actually not bad... the obvious Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, and that circuit.
  10. Thanks, Jeff. I had no idea whatsoever before. Yeah, the video is cool, but doesn't relate that much. Reminds of of that really really awful video Linkin Park made for "Breaking The Habit"... what a piece of shit that was. Yeah, Rabbits is much cooler. bobbyfoley.com

  12. I agree that Transmission was the best record, but I think that Triptych and Edges Of Twilight were both excellent runners-up. Seven Circles was my least favourite, and Interzone Mantras was decent, but it seems they jinxed themselves by doing that greatest hits record in 2000. I hope it's just a trial separation kind of thing, like Silverchair, and Bush are/were supposed to be.
  13. Not sure if it's already been asked, And I didn't want to start a new thread on it, but what's the deal? Where do you see the video? The music videos section has the 16 Good videos, but I can't find Rabbits anywhere. I've been really stoked to see it, too. I must be overlooking something, so your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. bobbyfoley.com
  14. I miss Geoff horribly. Dave too, if I'm being completely honest. That original limeup was dynamite, and awesome live. bobbyfoley.com

  18. Agree about Robert Rodriguez. He really made my night when I saw how faithfully he adapted Frank Millers' work to the screen. Unprecedented. And man oh man, Jessica Alba was perfect. So sweet, and innocent, I could just lock her away and keep her forever. bobbyfoley.com
  19. My personal favourite... Razorblade Suitcase, Bush. bobbyfoley.com
