if this were facebook, i would "like" this post. these niggas is reppin' the hammer and now they're charging $30 for a show that should be $5. i recommend them in spite of this. maybe they're too indie to be cool or too big to be indie. either way, there's some good stuff on their music disc "jackson square" making its way onto the radio machine. sidenote: jackson square is a local mall that is full of teen moms and bums buying booze at 10am. also, it is inhabited by the local miscreants and people with nowhere else to go.

saturnine replied to BasementSpaceman's topic in Marketplace
looks like you're going to hit the jackpot with that vinyl. i wish mine was still sealed. -
and you guys wonder why mr. moody keeps taking your privileges away. you're all a bunch of fucking children. you know how the internets work - content for some; content for all; content for none. this shit is like a light switch and you plebs keep trying to sit in the fucking dark. every time you start to infight, senor good takes his ball and goes home and then you all bitch about your rights to play the next inning. oh, and matt good doesn't care about black people.

Halo Reach: Anybody Buying This Game?
saturnine replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in Tech Section: A Hard Drive at Risk
i will buy it eventually. probably after everyone is way better than i am. i bought halo 3 like 4 years after its release and i still haven't caught up. i gave up on odst within 2 weeks of buying it but recently finished it. it was alright but i never liked it from the start so i had a hard time getting into it. reach multiplayer should keep me busy for a few more years. -
capitalist swine.

can't stand brock lesnar. i don't care if he is the terminator. i want to see bad things happen to him. i think he is a combination of hype and clever opponent selection. listen, you put brock lesnar on a card and everyone buys it tp see him get hurt. the more he fights, the better off the ufc is. he is very well orchestrated to be the villain.

Shade's Album Upload Topic
saturnine replied to shade's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
are you sure? it's ok, but by no means groundbreaking. -
i'm pretty sure you were a pussy well before savepoints. that is, if you remember the time before savepoints. son, back in my day you'd be lucky to even make it halfway through the game before the system crashed. repeatedly. i cried like a bitch when my sister finished super mario bros. as i had never gotten past the third level. you know what? fuck you, sis, i still have never finished that fucking game. i sucked then and i suck now. i'm that guy who gets all the achievements unrelated to actual gameplay as my actual gameplay is severely lacking. you know the guy who gets the perfection medal? he did it by killing me. savepoints saved my fucking life. i wish i could use them for reals.

our healthcare works like this: if you are on welfare or disability, you will get absolutely everything you need at any time for free and they'll give you a donut. if you work hard but don't have specific coverage and you need, say, dental work or eye care, you will pay full price with no help from anyone.

What Graphic Novels Are You Reading?
saturnine replied to Muran's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
graphic novels? really? comic books. should be just a phase. -
if believing in god helps get you through the day, so be it. if you live your life trying to get to some magical post-death party, then i think you're in for quite a shock. the belief in heaven is just a denial of death. we will die and there will be nothing and that is frightening. the problem is that no one will know this until we are dead and when we are dead we will not be cognisant of the fact that there is nothing there as we will be nothing ourselves. it's hard to tell kids that dead relatives are just in the ground and that is it. that's where religion starts. again, it's nothing but denial but if it helps you get through the day, then it has to count for something. every religion has its own variation of who or what god is. some have one, some have several. how can there be one god for each religion? either there is one, or there are many. or there is none. someone has to be wrong. some things in life cannot yet be explained and that's where god comes in to fill the gaps. god is denial and god is relief.
