  1. no, he doesnt got me. People download their shit cause they wont bother to shell out the money to buy the CD's.
  2. real mature, Im glad you are happy about the CMCC, I just hope one of these days you get sued by Nickleback, cause that would be funny as hell
  3. Kid Rock, and dont argue that hes not, cause hes a crazy mofo and he can be anything he wants to be
  4. Lets NOT start bashing Nickleback, thats not what this thread is for
  5. I havent heard matt say anything yet, although this is fairly recent and Im not sure if he was still on tour when it came out
  6. Tonite at the OLP show at the JLC in London Raine spoke out about the CMCC. He fully supports it and what it stands for and he went on a mission tonite to find someone that could record the show, specifically a new song and share it right away. Three cheers for Canadian Artists.
  7. To be honest the only Cd's that I have bought in the past 10 years (yes 10) are MG cd's and small independant artists that are trying to make it.
  8. we need god damn TiVo
  9. if you have an estra comp around and dont mind running Linux you can make a Myth Box, probably the best I have seen for a dedicated PVR comp
  10. "First, we believe that suing our fans is destructive and hypocritical." "we strongly believe that cultural policy should support actual Canadian artists." Those were the two things that stood out in my mind and that gave me the most respect for the artists that support this initiative
  11. Im not sure if this had been a thread before, but I think it wouldnt be cause its recent. If it has Im sorry. The following link will take you to an article by Steven Page of the Barenaked Ladies about the anadian Music Creators Coalition and its aims and supporters. Its worth the read. 12. Also if you listen to Hopless from the recent edmonton show (I think it was this show) he mentions that he wrote hopless on a guitar given to him by Earnhardt.
  13. I think hes weeding out his fan base. With the new your setup and whatnot, I think you are going to see the die hards sticking around, and the hellotimebombers leaving the scene. But I believe he is attracting a new type of fan too, one who is into more 'meaningful' music
  14. this is such a good poll, made me laugh when I first saw it
  15. man when he played just a part of Rabbits this past show in London I almost had a heart attack
  16. I was hoping he would have done Near Fantastica during his tour this time, but no dice.
  17. played the western fair in london, 5000 people
  18. I think it all depends on how the audience is. If they are going to be assholes, that why the hell would he want to play any longer, but if its a good audience, well then hes in a better mood and more adpt to play longer.
  19. American Aparrel shirts are kick ass. The quality of them is far beyond most of the crap thats out there.
  20. CHECK IT OUT HERE You can check the clip out at the link. Im not too sure if its a MGB t-shirt. Ive seen other shirts with the same airforce logo on it before. I cant get a good enough look at the Rick Mercer shirt.
  21. you know, its the whole, getting down to the roots, and hearing the song the way it was meant to be played. You get so much more out of it when its just a person and a guitar, you hear what its about and not all of the bull that is put into it to try and make it popular.
  22. He has been drinking this entire tour, mostly imports.
  23. ya its the london water. You know all that sewage from the stupid city workers bursting a pipe open. Or it could have been that damn German beer he was drinkin, he should have stayed with the Japanese beer from the night before
  24. I guess its all relative and how you look at it. By far from the two shows I was at there was a big difference, and the London crowd was near perfect. Sure people are going to yell out song they want to hear (although I didnt hear this last night all that often), its just something that people do, and sometimes Matt does play it for them. The difference is that at the London show you didnt have people yelling out things that they knew Matt wouldnt even consider playing, ie. Wispering in the Dark, Rico etc. I feel really bad for you if this is the worse crowd that you have ever seen, apparently you dont get out much to check out concerts. (not ment in a rude way, and not out to start an argument, but most concerts out there have far worse crowds that what you thought of this MAtt Good show) Its not the opera, people are going to talk. But its not a normal Matt Good show either. I was talking to Melissa after the show, and she was the one to first say that this was 300 times better than the night before (the crowd that is). She thought that they were much more into it, respectful (of her and matt), and she enjoyed it much more. But again, its all relative to other things that you can compare it too, I guess with me, after seeing the number of concerts I do each year and being in the position that I am in, I just know the good from the bad.
