  6. haha, the 'ego ramp' i love it.
  7. firstly, seniority rights are bullshit. it promotes slacking and poor work ethic from senior members on the basis that they are guaranteed hours while the new members who are less likely to dick around are not. unions in and of themselves have been ruined by members who think and act as if they are untouchable. it's one thing to be protected by your brothers, it's another to take gross advantage of it. az - the reason why they're asking for 3.5% adjustments in salary per year is because thats around the rate of inflation. if the cost of living increases by 3-4 percent ever year. effectively, they're making less year over year without it. what they're asking for is parity with inflationary costs. let's say year one is an average salary of $65,000. year two is $67,275 and year three is $69,629. sure, they've seen a four thousand dollar increase in salary over three years, but the cost of living has increased in such a way that it may cost over $90 more each month to maintain the same lifestyle.
  8. just lock this fucker up. it's going nowhere but down.
  9. i am SO tempted to make a bid, and not pay.
  10. you're a few years too late with this one. because back then i was pompous enough to prove you wrong. now... well now i have a thing for ascot chang handmade dress shirts, and those command most of my attention. plus it's much more fun to watch you fail than it is to over pay for something just to make you eat your words. good luck with the cock sucking lessons... or did i read that wrong?
  11. he's 2nd in the league in penalties. ten points plus almost 80 penalty minutes plus any +/- and shots... he's worth it as a utility player oh, and this five move max rule is bullshit. with a league this small, the moves should be unlimited. we're [pretty much locked into our rosters now unless we trade between each other.
  12. i have a feeling you wont be... at that price.
  13. i had him early and dropped him. i like the guy.
  14. my girlfriend did some cinematography on this fucker. also, my ex C300 was in it.
  15. especially when that entity has an open program, like future shop. they are a giant. there to steal customers away from little shops that cant afford to take product back. it's part of the business model. they have the buying power and negotiating skills to be able to almost bully suppliers into doing credits and refunds.
  16. that seinfeld take was pretty good.
  17. way to nerd out, ryan.
  18. what the hell is wikiality?
  19. it's easy to accept all that at face value, but alot of things went on during the creation of that video, and the result was to save face for everyone involved. i'll tell you a little bit about how productions work. firstly, a team is hired to carry out a vision. in this case, vision was provided by ante kovac. when a production is complete and the piece is finished, it's credited. the producer chooses who gets credited for what work. in this case, since the original version was done almost entirely by ante, this is who gets top billing. matt is credited because, as always, he chooses to be active in direction. he's an artists and most artists use video as an avenue to utilize their creativity. once production is complete, the video is submitted to the label, who owns it. labels submit videos to awards shows for review and the panel picks the best ones. in this case, the version seen above may not have been the mainstream version, but it was, in fact, the version submitted to the panel, by the label. i will agree that matt's version is much better and that ante's is rather plain. however, ante's version is the one that got submitted, and this is the reason why he got nominated along with matt. if a director is fired before, during or after production, he loses his credit, because he no longer has creative control, so to credit him where credit ISN'T due would be unfair to the revisions done by the successor, AND to the previous because the finished product does't necessarily reflect his vision. not only am i fairly well versed in the politics that go along with production, i happen to know very well what happened with this one in particular... so just take my word for it, put it in the bank and go make yourself some kraft dinner or something.
  20. check and see who won for best director. hint: it wasn't matt. thus, matt's version didnt get nominated. and old guy: i absolutely agree. ablum distribution and sales figures/gross profit for label definitely shouldn't be the determining factor in who wins what award, which i'm sure it is.
  21. dude. he's going to tell them its faulty and he wants his money back. they really cant say no. it's young man against huge sell-out corporation. to justify it further: if the manufacturer isn't willing to accept the expenses associated with standing behind their product, their biggest retailer will. and your ridiculous comparison makes you come off as an uneducated idiot.... or is that how calgarians roll?
  22. there's a few version out and about. this is the actual video that got nominated and won a juno. the mainstream version, the one will all the text and stills was the version that matt ended up piecing together and hosting on his site etc etc. amdn jesus, i forgot how much i love that song.
  23. i have a feeling that's not the story behind the discount section.
