  1. *whispers* It starts...
  2. that's because girls need to harness their urine. Embrace the dark side! Or the light side depending on what you've drunk/eaten.
  3. No. I fucking hate Criterion. I used to be able to get the same DVD's at most independent stores around town, but now i cant go anywhere without them being part of "The Criterion Collection" and being 30 bucks more than what i would've originally paid for it. It's bullshit. It's corporate markup on independent films. The irony hits, but is overwhelmed by my anger. Edit: But to give them a bit of credit, they DO release some films that would be otherwise impossible to see. But they're still corporate pimps taking advantage of a blossoming market.
  4. 1)Prime Time Deliverance 2)Strange Days 3)Rat Who Would Be King 4)Symbolistic White Walls
  5. I love AOE. Not a fan of Limblifter.
  6. Something that someone i know said. I'm not sure what he meant exactly.
  7. http://www.ps260.com/molly/SHINING%20FINAL.mov
  8. Ginger Snaps on tv. Not bad. Cop out ending though.
  9. I only remember the toys they had for it, because my friend started to collect them and was obsessed with how cool they were. I didn't have the heart to tell him that they really weren't. (Prozac was his favorite band. He already had enough to deal with.)
  10. Yeah it doesnt open with Windows Media Player, but it works fine on winamp. It's good stuff, but it's more "Big Band" music as opposed to jazz. But that doesnt make it any less awesome.
  11. Did anyone get a chance to download Charlie Kaufman's radio play Hope leaves the Theatre before it was pulled from beingcharliekaufman.com? How was it? And...would you like to send it to me? Discuss.
  12. I'm not familiar with his work. But in the 1930's the rules of film technique were not nearly as polished and defined as when Lynch made Eraserhead (late 70s.) Therefore it would be a lot easier to destroy and/or alter cinema's conventions. But you're right, i shouldn't say he was the first one to smash the rules of film. But i'm certainly not going to argue as far back as the 1930's when film hadn't even found a solid footing yet.
  13. Audio of Being. For the same reasons as Squall.
  14. Free will. I'ma gonna quote the neo on this one: "I don't like the idea that I'm not in control of my life." Can you dig it?
  15. Open your eyes: the nights and days. You close them up and float away And somehow in between you gotta master lying to yourself You back the cause. Get out of school You get a job. The job gets you. And somehow every day you end up serving somebody else. If that ain't panic that you're feeling, well you damn well better start You can drive it into that head of yours with that hammer in your heart
  16. 1)Rat Who Would Be King (lyrically and musically it's far superior) 2)Apparitions 3)Truffle Pigs 4)Sort of a Protest Song 5)A Long Way Down (i dont like this song, so the fact that it won says something) 6)House of Smoke and Mirrors (this was easily the hardest choice i had to make in all of the elimination threads. im still not entirely confident in my decision) 7)Flashdance II (i'm not biased against pre-Underdogs stuff. It's just not as polished. Depite that some things on Lotga are pretty damn good.) 8)Running For Home 9)Weapon (should take #1. I'll be dissapointed if it doesnt)
  17. I hope they don't. IAWCC wasn't bad at all. The video sucked hardcore though. And Every Name Is My Name...well it's not the worst. My votes go toward Song for the Girl and Annabelle. Easily MG's (lyrically) most shallow songs. Plus the vocals in Annabelle are HORRENDOUSLY annoying.
  18. Yeah fuck Pangea and shifting continental plates. FUCKIN MOON GUN!!!
  19. Would AC/DC be able to get away with suing Jesus? And didn't God say "Thou shalt not steal"? Or does that not apply to copyrite infringement.
  20. has anyone said Apocolypse Now yet? That's such a deserving movie. Even though it makes me fall asleep. Heart of Darkness pales in comparison to this film. On that note, i really wish Orson Welles was able to make the Heart of Darkness film. That would have been amazing. I'd also like to add Eraserhead to the list. Not because i'm a real David Lynch fan but more because it's one of the first movies to truly smash the rules of film in an effective way. Of course Jean-Luc Godard did this earlier, but he has so many amazing movies it'd be impossible to pick the greatest.
  21. Agreed. And wasn't Griffin banned for calling someone a cunt?
  22. At the age of 18 i should probably get around to getting my first job...
  23. That's weird. I prefer keyboard to controller any day. I still have my original snes system, but i dont have many games for it. The only RPG i have is Spike McFang. Which is a really really lame-ass game and not worth the title of RPG, or even worthy of existing. If you live in Ottawa, you're more than welcome to it. But otherwise, i shan't be going to the trouble of shipping.
  24. Why don't you just use Roms? Much easier, cheaper, etc... Plus its not like Nintendo is going to be profiting much on its SNES sales.
