Replace stupid with desperate and you'll have a more accurate sentence.

Maladroit was decent. But i agree completly otherwise. I'm really really really dissapointed in Rivers. Really. -
Man, I wish Matt would come to Ontario. He never comes here. ;)

Movies don't really affect my life except for the two to three hours in which i'm watching them. Often when i'm in the nightlife experience however, i have Lost in Translation flashbacks. It mimics my nightlife mood exceptionally well.

That 70's Show - started off good, has its moments, but as characters age so must a show fade into mediocrity, finally settling in crap. The Office - U.S. version is potentially humourous but doesn't pull it off. The U.K. version is too annoyingly ridiculous. Arrested Development - I just don't find it funny. It's a good show to watch, but i never expect to laugh. Simpsons - this show needs to die. i dont know how it's lasted that long. i love Matt Groening, but this show is just so weak humour-wise. Family Guy - incredibly funny. but the random segueys are so numerous that it's making the show monotonous. Scrubs - This was my vote. It's hilarious (though not as much as FG), has great characters, is self-aware, and on top of all that can pull the heartstrings effectivly. The episode where Dr.Cox's best friend (Brendan Fraser) shows up at the hospital while Cox is feeling blue, and they both have to go to his son's first birthday party SPOILER (Highlight to View) but then it turns out that Brendan Fraser's character was dead and only in Cox's imagination, and that the birthday party was really Brendan's funeral That was such a brilliantly sad moment. Scrubs has the rewatchability, the humour, and the drama. It wins hands down.

Scuba divers don't ask questions. They just get out there and kick ass.

I don't have any new album to add really, except maybe Mogwai's live album (Government Commissions.) I mainly commented to say i hate Bright Eyes with the greatest passion. -
My granpappy beat up Shatner back in highschool. For the record. Shatner-hatred doesn't run in our family however, because i think Shatner's f'in awesome. Especially for teaming up with Ben Folds now and again.

1)Everything is Automatic 2)Fated 3)Life Beyond The Minimum Safe Distance (tough call) 4)Giant (i'd say Let's Get it On is the worst BM track. But even that's not all bad. Giant is one of the best lyrically.)

Oh man. I miss new wave acoustic. That would have been beyond amazing.

No i don't. A stray dog bites you in the arm, you have a blood wound. He's about to attack again. Nobody's around for miles because everyone's at some barbaque eating cows. WHAT DO YOU DO?!?!?!

During my psych midterm the other day, a cellphone went off. The teacher told the lecture class after this to shut off all electronic equipment (not that she hadn't said it before.) 5 minutes later THE SAME CELL PHONE RINGS AGAIN!! Idiots like this should be taken out back. The vibrate feature kind of freaks me out to use in practice. I'm worried that i'll just happen to be talking with a girl on a random day, and suddenly my pants will start to vibrate.

The characters were a bit unrealistic. I mean one minute Chreitien's the wise cracking prime minister with a heart of gold. But then next chapter he's the greedy corrupt PM masterminding a ploy to rip off Canadians. There's some serious continuity errors they need to work on.

Scary as sin. Hilarious as hell. Discuss.

Pretty much what everyone else has said. He was good back in the day, but now hes rolling downhill. -
I have a phone but i only use it for maybe 10 calls a month. As soon as the contract's up, i'm going pay-as-you-go

i always get yelled at for saying this, but i didn't like heart of darkness at all, and i REALLY didn't like apocalpyse now. i found them both to be very boring... but the concepts surrounding the two are admirable, so i have respect for them. in any case. jarhead. looks like good stuff. I hear you on the playing field of boredom. I couldn't get into Heart of Darkness, and i've made multiple attempts to watch Apocolypse Now but i always end up falling asleep. Literally. They're both incredibly well-done. Just both incredibly boring.
-
Apocolypse Now was much more of a social/inner-psyche film, than a war film. The Vietnam war took a real back seat to the film's theme. The same goes with the book Heart of Darkness (which the film is based off of.) Also, Jamie Foxx = Hoo-rah. Someone had to say it. Yeah but no, i f'in hate Jamie Foxx.

I had no clue that it was Mendes directing until 2 or 3 days ago. The red door in the trailer brought back memories.

I haven't purchased any Criterion films, so i can make no claim on the improvement of visual quality. But frankly i couldn't give a shit even if i tried. That goes for any "extras" as well. As long as a film is presented so that i can watch it without being distracted by its shitty quality, i'm satisfied. I'm not going to shell out 30 bucks more for a film because its picture quality or sound quality has been remastered. My beef isn't that the Criterion collection exists. For those that want to see the exact shade of red in a film they're perfectly welcome to the collection. My problem is that now i cannot go out and buy perfectly decent copies of any Antonioni works for a decent price, because they've been replaced by "The Criterion Collection" which marks me up another 30 bucks for something i could do without. I have yet to see any Criterion film anywhere close to the ballpark of 30 bucks. I've yet to see one below 50. This is also inclusive of more mainstream films like Armageddon.

Guitar...
static replied to X-Rated Truffle Pig's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
How brutally ironic that the clit guitar looks way harder to play.
