  1. its already Tom Hanks yea. I always pictured Robert Redford when I read the books before though.
  2. oddly enough Blue Skies was my second least favourite song on the album. I think it was due to its length originally and how it took too long to get into the actual song. Now its my favourite.
  3. thats a pretty long while away simply for a greatest hits album. I never thought Matt to release a greatest hits either. Where did the rumours for this start?
  4. Weren't there rumours of Matt actually working on some screenplay or something along those lines once he had time off after WLRRR?
  5. I think its posted in another thread, though not in the exact order. I tried to get the setlist after the show, but it didnt work. I do remember he opened with Giant, and ended with Carmelina before coming back on with 2 new tracks, one which is called "details" apparently.
  6. Im pretty surprised at that actually. And about the Who, yea I heard they inspired him, though Im not sure about the title of WLRRR, unless it was their live sets using simply the guitars, white light and simple music. He said something along those lines in an interview, I can't remember hte exact details.
  7. I wonder if anyone has the audio of him in Ottawa. I have the one from Saskatchewan, its also available for download here in the store I think. I laughed pretty hard the first time I heard it. Matt Good brings out a rough crowd.
  8. Ok now that you mention new album, are there rumours of anything in the next 6 months? WLRRR has probably had all the singles they'll get out of it, which is sad, I would have liked to see Buffalo Seven released.
  9. I think its actually a Dave Matthews and Pearl Jam song performed live. On the music downloading programs, people make alot of mistakes in naming their files.
  10. Agoraphobe is great. I'd recomment getting that one first.
  11. Im addicted to this song. Since purchasing it an hour ago ive listened to it 24 times, enough to fill up the hour.
  12. Interpol - Obstacle 2 Bright eyes - First day of my life Desaparacidos - Greater Omaha
  13. they weren't as raw as WLRRR I thought. The second one was not that fast, but had a catchy beat to it and was more positive than alot of his other stuff. Its not a "new" sound really, but its more of an evolution of his sound right now. I hope that makes some sense.
  14. I really can't wait for this remake of a classic. I've never seen the classic, and apparently theres a big twist in the end which Im avoiding until I see the new one with Tom Cruise. Steven Spielberg also never fails to turn out quality movies.
  15. This movie may be the first in the series to get a pg13 rating. Im pretty sure there are a few decent twists in the stories. Theres the duel with Anakin and Obiwan, though everyone knows about it, Im sure there'll be a few twists in it. Anakin looks like a mess at the end of it. I've seen a few spoiler pics and they are pretty graphic.
  16. Mine are from 2 songs: 1-The fine art of falling apart. Its a really sad song to listen to if you've had a bad day. Don't do it. 2-Blue skies over badlands. Those are his best lyrics, and how it almost tells a story, through a dream and flying, then at the end states "But you don’t need to fly to understand it Just understand understanding" They have a pretty big impact.
  17. So youre pissed at all the drunk people there, and the show is fuzzy for you? Thats a little ironic. Anyways, the wrench was uncalled for. Im glad the band tried to take it lightly and just warn the crowd with their initial comments. At least Matt wasnt like he was in Saskatchewan a few years back.
  18. The "highly educated" comment was quite funny. I can understand him being upset on one hand and on the other, at festivals, its impossible to stop this sort of stuff from happening. 15 000 people in an open mud soaked field with the sun on their faces and beer in their stomachs. The only part that annoyed me was the people trying to start fights. Many times people throw the shoes to the front they find as a lost and found method, its worked in the past when I lost a shoe at a show, so thats all good. Punching people in the back of the head is a fucking pain though. I've got a lump on the back of myhead and the guy who did it has a bloody nose for his galiant efforts at being an ass.
  19. Rich is 36 now. He's probably getting on with his life, or just realized no member can be in part with Matt Good more than 4 years. No I don't believe Big City life was played. I tried to get the set list after, though I never made it in time.
  20. I think the CD one just has the picture that were included in the foldout portion of the cardboard one.
  21. I don't have the $ to buy them right now. Can anyone tell me what they're like? I can't remember them all that well from ACF yesterday.
  22. It wouldnt have been the first time Matt walked off-stage from an incident like this. Back in 1999 I believe he left in Saskatoon or Regina after being hit with a shoe. I was in the middle of the moshpits at the show. Being over 6' is definately an advantage I'd say. It was pretty rough, but its expected at events like these. Even with all the chaos going on, Matt still played a decent show. I've seen him 6 times now, it wasnt his best, but it wasnt his worst either. About the new songs, I really liked them. The second was better than the first and I really enjoyed the beat it had. Something new and fresh.
