Oh, Adam. How you disappoint me. I figured you would at least do some research before posting a response to this. Splenda is an artificial sweetner (sucralose) used in low-cal items and is a god send for people with diabetes who want to enjoy something sweet and not worry too much. Because of it's chemical properties, sucralose takes longer to be metablolized and won't lead to dangerous blood sugar increases for diabetics making their insulin requirements more predictable. The aspartame controversy pisses me off to no end. I am actually in the process of reseaching this topic and from what I can see, aspartame DOES cause cancer (disclaimer-in rats at 3000 times the dose a human would ever consume). So, that study just seems completely ridiculous. By the way, everything causes cancer, we are all gonna die and people should just get over it. Aspartame MUST be avoided in people with phenylketonuria which is a genetic inability to process phenylalanine. If you have this, you are diagnosed shortly at birth and are smart enough to read labels. The methanol issue I would have to look into.

I don't like Criminal Intent at all. I love the original (i cried when Jerry Orbach died last year) and would probably vote for that but SUV is just so awesome because there is nothing like a good rape investigation to help you fall asleep at night.

My mp3 player is only 256mb and I realized the other day that I have WAY too Matthew Good on it. I mean, I like him but when I put it on random and I only have 2 non-matt songs come on during at 50 minute run, I think that is a problem.

The Detroit show was pretty cool. A nice mix of new and old. Maynard was in good spirts and chatted up the crowd more than i had heard before. Plus, he didn't spend his whole time with his back to the audience unlike the last show I saw. He really knows how to work a cowboy hat.

I became quite enraged at the Subway lady in the Dallas/Fort Worth airport. My 6 inch sub and 3 cookies came to something like $8. The sign said the sub was around $4 and the cookies were like 45 cents each. She didn't get it.

At a Christmas party, we had a secret Santa thing among the employees. One of my managers was dressed as Santa giving out the presents and I was right wasted by the time the present giving came around. I kinda stuck my butt at him and said "i've been naughty, spank me and give me a lump of coal". I felt very at work the next day.
