Matthew Good Band - Strange Days -
Why should he try out for Canadian Idol? He already has a name for himself, and wouldn't need too. Mind you, I've always wondered what would happen if someone like Matt...or another artist with a few albums under his belt tried out for an Idol show like that. What would the judges say? Hehe, it would be great to watch.

I'll invest in your cartoon. Make millions. It'll be brilliant. -
Okay Moonlight. You obviously don't realize that half that revenue goes straight back to the Federal government and all of the other provinces. Its not as if though we horde the money to ourselves. You'd be surprised where most of the money goes.

I'm speechless. I need a hug. -
As special as special can get, thanks.

What someone say above awhile ago...I have to agree that Sarah McLaughlan and Matthew Good would sound alright in a duet of some sort... ...mind you, I don't think it'll ever happen.

Makes me proud to live in Alberta. ;) Many people who live in Alberta don't really realize how well off we really are. We have a really high SOL.

HAHAHAHA. Risk is especially fun when you make alliances. If you've ever played the computer game Rise of Nations..they have a game mode called Conquer the World...is like an extremely detailed version of Risk. At the moment I'm the Mayans and I've conquered all of North and South America....all of Africa, and I'm now moving into the Middle East. This Future Risk game sounds awsome..and everything included in it seems plausible..except for the fact that land-masses won't move, be created, or be destroyed so easily.

Hmm...Dave, you've sparked my interest in the subject...I think I might read into this a bit more. I've known about it for awhile..through my magazine subsriptions and off-to-the-side reasearch. At least it wouldn't hurt....to begin with. I can see it happening now...sitting at the dinner table eating supper with your family...and you get a nose bleed. Totally surreal. -

Can I come with you? I want to get off this uncivilized sphere. -
I won't waste my time going over my playlist. So off the top of my head, in no particular order: 1) Weapon 2) Near Fantastica 3) House of Smoke and Mirrors 4) Alert Status Red 5) Suburbia As you can kind of tell...I'm a big fan of his album "Avalanche". I think it is one of his best albums...and it rarely leaves my cd player if have nothing else to listen too. Although his earlier songs are also good..compared to his newer songs (excluding some tracks on WLRAR) his older albums are a bit more...grungy...not as melodic, or ambient. Looking back on those 5 at the top, I can't really say those are my top 5. But they are all still great songs.

Unfortunately I don't find stupid, senseless humor funny. It's comedy for the majority. And I don't fall into the majority.

Yeah, it'll happen eventually. But hey, look at the brightside, out of the eight billion people that live in the world, what'll be the chances that: 1) It'll be you. 2) You'll be alive then? Mind you, the human race actually has to survive until 2040 for this to all happen. I figure around 2010 everything will collapse, in one form or another. It's inevitable. -
Macgyver....haha. I remember once on e-bay a guy was selling a Macgyver survival kit. I believe it contained two twist ties..a rubber band, a paper clip, and a pack of chewing gum..I wish I hadn't lost the link, the whole thing was hilarious. I've never actually watched a full episode. But hey, who needs too? I'm my own Macgyver, give me almost no information about the show, and I can save the world, one line at a time. B)

I haven't even seen the first one and know that it's horrible. Nevermind the second one...jeesh. I don't feel like wasting a minute of my life watching that. Nice try. I didn't fall for it.

Yeah...I have to agree. You kind of loose track of the story and what is going on at the end of the movie...its pretty vague, and hard to follow. But I still don't think it detracts from the movie at all.

In their genre of music, I'd have to say that they are what you refer to as 'musical brilliance' because they created a genre unto itself. But as for their mark on music on the entire spectrum? I'd have to say that they are highly overrated. But then again, that's just my opinion.

Personally I believe that this whole fiasco around Terry Shiavo is something that has been completely overblown. I think that Matt put it perfectly on his blog when he said that it is none of his business. Because this isn't our business at all. It's the families decision. I fully agree with the fact that it is none of our business. It is not your place to have had a position on this unless you're part of the family, or a family friend. I said this in my Social Studies class. And the debate ended. I think everyone, including my teacher, got the point. People were debating so fiercly over their positions, but I think that once they realized and understood what I said. They shutup. Personally, I am glad that this whole media frenzy is over. And hopefully she's moved onto a better place than here.

I finally got around to getting out to see 'Constantine' this week. And I have to say that it has to be one of my favorite films at the moment. Mind you, I am a bit of a sucker for the twisted..heaven and hell, type movies -- movies that make you think about the bigger things. But even once I got past that, its a good movie. Although I found it odd how Rachel Weisz always seemed to be in a black bra and a white t-shirt soaked in water. Hehe ;) Any thoughts or comments on the movie?

The Decemberists

I'm just a bit let down that they aren't from Canada. When I originally listened to them I thought they were from the Martimes..and when I found out they were from Portland...well. It kind of let me down a bit, sad to say. Still great music though. I'm still addicted too it.
