  1. Hey, Charles, since we're on the subject...although, it is highly off topic...but, I'd like to get your prospective. You said you're not a fan of the N word, and neither am I. But, we do have to admit, the meaning has diminished in the last couple of years, mostly because of the rap/hip hop community. Anyway, do you take offense to the word no matter who says it? For instance, your black friend comes up and says, 'What's up my N?' and then your white friend comes up and says the same thing, is their any difference, and what is it in your mind? I feel if the meaning of the word has diminished enough for someone to use, how can you get upset if someone of another race uses the same word? And, based on that, do you think that adds more or less segragation to the whole situation? I mean, allowing the exclusivity of that word still creates seperation of the races, when the whole P.C. thing now is for us all to be human not defined as different race.
  2. Cry Baby .........
  3. Why do you think it's bad? All hip hop artists sample something these days, it's very rare that you hear an original song these days in the rap genre. Hell, Alicia Keys sampled the Super Mario song. Do I like the idea that no one is original any longer? Hell no, but I'm used to it.
  4. Have you heard anything about IPTV? I'm trying to decide whether to get that or not too, but I would need at least 15mbps for both to get HD quality broadcasts.
  5. Troy was a horrible movie.
  6. Yeah, it's available here in So Cal, from Verizon. Basic starts at 5mbps/2mbps and it starts at $39.99 per month, and goes up from there. There's a 30mbps/15mbps as well, but that's $179.99 per month. It's very comparable to cable. But, I was wanting to get first hand advice.
  7. Does anyone have Fiber Optic internet? And, if so, what's it like, and what are the download/upload speeds? Is it worth it?
  8. Apparently, his million man army wasn't enough. He wanted some Spartan ass that could clench his dick with their muscular ass.

  13. Full Metal Jacket sucked ass....Apocalypse Now was alright...Platoon was really good, but Saving Private Ryan is the best. It was a little bit melodramatic, but the first 20 minutes are maybe the best 20 minutes ever put on film.

    300!

While I wasn't as impressed as I was hoping, it was pretty cool. To Eric, I don't know if it was that historically correct, but did I really care? No, because a lot of people died in very grusome ways and that's good in my books.
  15. The Happening, a new M. Night movie releasing in 2008, centers around an apocalyptic tale of natures revolt against humans. Sounds weird enough. Anywho, I wasn't so impressed with his last one, Lady in the Water, but it's M. Night...so I'll stil watch it. And I mean, The Sixth Sense is still the highest grossing thriller of all time. That's got to count for something.

    300!

300 looks to be one of the most amazing pictures of the year. Frank Miller is bad ass. That's all I have to report.
  17. Does it matter? It's better then both.
  18. I don't really consider Sound Editing, Sound Mixing and Visual Effects that big of awards. I was just debating how someone finds that film overrated.
  19. Five sounds like too much. I think four seasons will be enough. I've always thought from the beginning it would go four.
  20. Childern of Men was excellent and compelling. Zodiac was amazing. David Fincher continues to rise on my best directors list. Man of the Year sucked ass. It started as a comedy and then transitioned to a conspiracy movie...??? Crash was amazingly stupid and ridiculous.
  21. How on earth did you think Katie Holmes was good in that movie? She is such a one dimensional actor. She always does that stupid facial expression from when she was on Dawson's Creek. Uck.
  22. While I enjoyed King Kong, how do you find it overrated? It was given so-so reviews...it didn't make much of an impact at the box office (did it even make back its budget?), and it was neither nominated or won any awards. Also, from most people I talk to, they hated it. How is that overrated, again?
  23. This was the best movie of 2006, bar none.
  24. Finally, someone is saying the same thing I've said for months.
  25. You said The Shining, which was good. The only one I liked, but I don't know if that was more because it was based on a Stephen King book, or the direction. The TV remake sucked though, that's for sure...so I do have to give credit to Kubrick on that one. Now, Full Metal Jacket, A Clockwork Orange and 2001 were, in my opinion, pretentious, overblown, and down right boring. I really don't see what the big idea is. Maybe more of the content then the actual directing? That's the only thing I can think of. Most of his movies do take on a radical, mature theme....but, I really didn't find any of those done on a technically well level, especially to deserve the credit he's given.
