  5. thats great news... sugar is a great venue. i'll be there for sure. edit: shit sugar is sure getting some good acts lately; weakerthans, constantines, dfa1979, ted leo, the new pornographers, matt good... thats pretty awesome.

  9. see thats the thing, these bands are all pretty much in the genre of music that i like but for various reasons, i can't listen to them. i do however like what they're doing, their originality and in some cases their lyrics as well. its not that i hate these bands. i'd say that even though its last on that list, nine inch nails is probably the best example of this. i absolutely can't listen to their music but i enjoy their lyrics, like what they're doing, and i also love jonny cash's cover of hurt. its weird i know.
  10. found this on some other site and thought it was a cool idea... i find there are a few bands out there that i appreciate what they're doing/did but don't particularly like their music. k-os fiery furnaces mars volta (new cd) buck 65 led zeppelin xiu xiu (i do like some of their music but not much) deftones u2 (their earlier stuff... the new album just plain blows) boards of canada smashing pumpkins nine inch nails
  11. (offtopic: didnt know broken social scene had a new album!) yeah i think the release date is in october... after a few listens, its a pretty good album. the fall of troy - f.c.p.r.e.m.i.x.
  12. the freshly leaked "broken social scene" album
  13. i recently gave in and downloaded "soon enough" and a live version of "love in fear" of their new stuff, which are damn amazing by the way. i think that these guys are something truly great and as matt good's lyrics get progressively worse, these guys come in and give me my much needed dose of good, meaningful music.
  14. shotgun rules - thank you gravity
  15. their new song "foxtrot" is much better... almost makes me consider their new album. a scary thought, i know.
  16. the constantines - love in fear (live)
