Where does one find these new demos and are they any good? I'm so excited for the new album!! Here's the song that i'm most impressed with: http://s29.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2YS6QU9...G21CX94A32PGDGN As for where i got the demo... I really don't remember. B) constantines - young lions -
Your cover of fake plastic trees is amazing. Your voice sort of reminds me of Dallas from Alexisonfire. Do you use any effects on your voice after its recorded? I'm assuming there's some reverb but anything else? Nice work.

thursday - untitled 2 (new demo) -
i think that without the layering and such it would have been kind of a weak release. in my opinion it sounds so much better with the effects and the addition of piano, etc. otherwise it would have been like his uninvited guest performance, which was unimpressive. plus i like the sound of his voice pre-surgery and some of the lower parts on "rooms" i doubt he could pull off live. needless to say i'm glad it is as produced as it is.

i've heard that from a few people about this album but i hear after a while it grows on you so much that it stands up to the older albums. as for me i think its decent thus far. -

funny, i think "can't get shot in the back..." is easily better than anything off his latest album and that he should definately go back to his folk roots. as for the acoustic tracks, i agree. most of them sound pretty weak live and i'm kinda hoping that "rooms" has a bit more production on it than just a bare bones acoustic set.

i noticed that too. when i first heard it i thought they were going to cover the song. for that album i'd say the slower songs are way stronger than the heavier ones. "kill" being a perfect example. as for cds... the new pornographers - twin cinema the constantines - s/t dredg - catch without arms spoon - gimme fiction sparta - wiretap scars and recently i pulled out incubus' make yourself -

today some crazy diabetic old man got lost in the forest and decided to follow the powerlines to a substation, which i incidently happened to be working at. nevertheless i, being an apprentice, had to drive the crazy guy home. he did, however make for interesting conversation.
